摘要： Described are stereoscopic eyewear, methods and systems for manufacturing the same. The stereoscopic eyewear includes right- and left-eye filters for analyzing stereoscopically-encoded polarized light. The filters are made using a roll-type polarizer having an absorption axis. A polymer alignment layer is deposited on a portion of the roll-type polarizer. A liquid crystal polymer (LCP) layer is deposited on the polymer alignment layer. The polymer alignment layer and LCP layer provides at least one retarder having an optic axis at a predetermined angle to the absorption axis of the roll-type polarizer. Described embodiments include a polymer alignment layer that may include at least one of a linearly photopolymizerable polymer (LPP), a brushed or rolled polyimide.

In one embodiment, the method includes applying a known vibration signal to the closed-loop accelerometer along a first axis and adjusting a feedback gain setting until VRE is below a first threshold value. After the feedback gain setting has been adjusted, applying a random vibration signal to the closed-loop accelerometer along the first axis and adjusting a servo system proportional gain value until VRE is below a second threshold value.

The protection circuitry switches or multiplexes the plurality of input lines into the output line, and includes a solid state relay arrangement and power isolation circuitry. The power isolation circuitry provides a high impedance to power rails associated with the solid state relay arrangement, and the solid state relay arrangement includes at least one N-channel field effect transistor (FET), at least one protection diode, and at least one charge pump.

摘要： A simple reflecting layered structure is disclosed that is attached to, or incorporated into, an automobile windshield that allows a head-up-display (HUD) to be viewed through anti-glare, p-polarized sunglasses without double imaging and without substantial net alteration of the polarization state of light. The invention relies on the negligible reflection of p-polarized light at material interfaces oriented at the typical angles within an automobile HUD system. The reflecting structure consists of two polarization manipulating films sandwiching a s-polarized reflector. A suitable reflector could constitute the natural reflection off interfaces between the two films and a single medium of substantially different refractive index. One embodiment utilizes two stretched polymer half wave retardation films separated with an air gap. The optic axes of the films are essentially crossed oriented at approximately 45° to both s- and p-polarization axes.
