Abstract:
A method and a terminal for acquiring information on the media supported by an emergency center to provide the terminal with the emergency call service using non-voice media as well voice media are provided. A method includes receiving information on media supported by an Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) from a server, storing the information on the media supported by the IMS, and transmitting a signal to a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) based on the information on the media supported by the IMS and the terminal. The emergency call processing method of the present invention allows only the terminal capable of NOVES to perform the media information acquisition procedure, thereby avoiding overhead caused by media acquisition attempts of a large number of terminal.

A method for processing a network slice by a packet data network gateway control plane (PGW-C) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes receiving a session create request message from a mobility management entity (MME), identifying whether information indicating that a user equipment (UE) supports a slice quota-based operation is included in the session create request message, and transmitting, to the MME, a session create response message configured based on a result of the identification.
Abstract:
A method performed by a network function (NF) in 5G core network (5GC) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes receiving, from an application function (AF), an event subscription request message comprising network slice related quota information for a network slice, determining whether an event notification triggering condition for the network slice is met based on the network slice related quota information and data received from at least one NF in the 5GC, and transmitting, to the AF, an event notification message for the network slice based on a result of the determining.

Abstract:
A method for setting a value of an inactivity timer for transitioning between states of a data session in a network comprising a first entity and a second entity providing network analytics is provided. The method includes obtaining, by the second entity, input data comprising communication description information for at least one user equipment (UE), and providing, by the second entity to the first entity, output analytics generated based on the input data, the output analytics comprising UE communications analytics for each data session where the output analytics are used to determining whether to update a value of an inactivity timer for a data session.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system to be provided for supporting a higher data transmission rate beyond a 4G communication system such as LTE. A method, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, is a method for providing local data network information to a terminal from a session management function (SMF) entity in a wireless communication system, the method comprising the steps of: according to the mobility of a terminal, deciding, on the basis of first information, to add a protocol data unit (PDU) session anchor-user plane function (PSA-UPF) for a PDU session; establishing the PDU session with the PSA-UPF which has been decided to be added; configuring a PDU path for a downlink and an uplink between the PSA-UPF and the terminal; and transmitting, to the terminal, a PDU session modification command for instructing the addition of a new PSA-UPF, wherein the first information may include at least one among policy and charging control (PCC) information, and local data network (DN) configuration information which is received from a policy control function (PCF) entity.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. The disclosure proposes, when a UE is registered in an AMf which does not support ATSSS (registration procedure), a method by which, an old AMF identifies the registration and releases an MA PDU session and a method by which the UE identifies the registration and releases the MA PDU session in a wireless communication system according to an embodiment.
Abstract:
According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a policy control function (PCF) entity for managing policies may be provided. The PCF entity may transmit, to a user equipment via an Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF), URSP information including first data network name (DNN) information, identify a triggering event for updating the URSP, transmit, to the user equipment via the AMF based on the identified triggering event, updated URSP information including second DNN information, transmit, when transmitting the updated URSP information including the second DNN information, a Session Management Function (SMF) selection management trigger message to the AMF, and receive a user equipment policy update request message from the AMF when a request from the AMF for at least one of a first DNN corresponding to the first DNN information or a third DNN is detected.
