    摘要: A plasma display panel to prevent misdischarge in a non-discharge region. The plasma display panel includes a first substrate and a second substrate facing the first substrate. A plurality of display electrodes are formed extending on the first substrate, and a plurality of address electrodes are formed extending on the second substrate and cross the display electrodes. Barrier ribs including a plurality of barrier rib members are positioned between the first substrate and the second substrate, and form a plurality of discharge cells and non-discharge regions. A phosphor is formed inside each of the discharge cells. Each of the non-discharge regions includes one of exposure regions where a part of one of the display electrodes is exposed. The exposure regions are placed alternately in an extending direction of the display electrodes.

    摘要: A plasma display panel includes a first substrate and a second substrate arranged to oppose one another with a predetermined gap therebetween. Address electrodes are arranged on the first substrate, and barrier ribs are arranged between the first and second substrates to independently define discharge cells. Phosphor layers are arranged in the discharge cells. Sustain electrodes are arranged on the second substrate along a direction perpendicular to the address electrodes. Each of the discharge cells includes first and second sides arranged along the direction of the address electrodes, and third and fourth sides arranged along the direction of the sustain electrodes. The first and second sides are convexly arranged in a direction away from each other, and the third and fourth sides are concavely arranged.

Barrier ribs are disposed between the first and second substrates to form a plurality of discharge cells. A phosphor layer is formed at each discharge cell. The discharge sustain electrode has first bus electrode portions spaced apart from each other by a certain distance, second bus electrode portions at least partially separated from the first bus electrode portions while being electrically connected thereto, and transparent electrodes not overlapped with the second bus electrode portions but being electrically connected to the first bus electrode portions. Interconnection electrodes are arranged over the barrier ribs to interconnect the first and second bus electrode portions.

    摘要: A plasma display panel having an increased aperture ratio which improves luminous efficiency, and having increased discharge uniformity in a discharge space enhancing luminance, is composed of: a front substrate and a rear substrate separated from each other; barrier ribs interposed between the front substrate and the rear substrate to partition discharge cells; discharge electrodes separated from each other and disposed between the front substrate and the rear substrate to generate a discharge; and fluorescent layers formed in the discharge cells. Two or more discharge spaces are formed in each of the discharge cells. Since two or more discharge cells are formed in one discharge cell, discharge uniformity is increased in a discharge space, thereby improving luminance.

    摘要: A plasma display panel enhanced light emission efficiency is disclosed. In one embodiment, the PDP includes a rear substrate, a front substrate disposed apart from the rear substrate, a plurality of barrier ribs that define discharge cells together with the rear substrate and the front substrate and disposed between the rear substrate and the front substrate, a plurality of sustain electrode pairs extended across the discharge cells, and a plurality of address electrodes extended across the discharge cells to cross the sustain electrode pairs. The PDP also includes a first dielectric layer that covers the address electrodes, a second dielectric layer that covers the sustaining electrode pairs, a fluorescent layer disposed in each discharge cell and a discharge gas filled in the discharge cells, wherein the barrier ribs comprise vertical units formed in a direction in which the address electrodes are extended, and horizontal units that cross the vertical units. Each of the sustain electrodes comprises a bus electrode extending across the discharge cells and a discharge electrode, wherein the discharge electrode includes i) a main body unit disposed apart from the bus electrode toward the center of each discharge cell and ii) connection units that connect he main body unit and the bus electrode, and the relative width ratio of the connection units to the vertical units is in a range of about 3/7 to about 6/7.
