    摘要: A plasma display panel having an electrode structure that can reduce the damaging of a fluorescent layer that generates green light by ion sputtering is disclosed. The plasma display panel includes: a rear substrate; a front substrate disposed apart from the rear substrate; a plurality of barrier ribs that define discharge cells of blue, green and blue light together with the rear substrate and the front substrate and disposed between the rear substrate and the front substrate; a plurality of sustain electrode pairs extended across the discharge cells; a plurality of address electrodes extended across the discharge cells to cross the sustain electrode pairs; a first dielectric layer that covers the sustain electrode pairs; a second dielectric layer that covers the address electrodes; a plurality of fluorescent layers of red, green, and blue light disposed in each of the discharge cells of red, green and blue light; and a discharge gas filled in the discharge cells, wherein each of the sustain electrodes comprises a bus electrode extended across the discharge cells, main body unit disposed apart from the bus electrode toward the inside of the discharge cell, and a connection unit that connects the bus electrode and the main body unit, the connection unit is disposed apart from the barrier ribs that define the green discharge cells.

    摘要: Provided is a plasma display panel with unit pixels, each of which is formed of a red, green, and blue sub-pixel and an additional sub-pixel of the light having the lowest maximum brightness level. The phosphor layers in the two sub-pixels with the lowest maximum brightness level are selected so the first of the two phosphor layers has a higher brightness level than the second layer, while the second layer has a longer life span property than the first. As a result, the maximum brightness, and the color temperature of the unit pixel, and life span properties are improved over the conventional plasma display panel.

    摘要: A plasma display panel (PDP) having improved luminous efficiency may be constructed with an upper substrate, a lower substrate disposed parallel to the upper substrate, and a plurality of upper barrier ribs formed of a dielectric disposed between the upper substrate and the lower substrate. The upper barrier ribs, together with the upper substrate and the lower substrate, define discharge cells. A plurality of upper discharge electrodes are disposed to surround the discharge cell are embedded in the upper barrier ribs. A plurality of lower discharge electrodes that are spaced-apart from the upper discharge electrodes are embedded in the upper barrier ribs to surround the discharge cell. A plurality of lower barrier ribs are disposed between the upper barrier ribs and the lower substrate. A plurality of central barrier ribs may be positioned inside the discharge cells, a plurality of fluorescent layers are formed between side surfaces of the lower barrier ribs and side surfaces of the central barrier ribs, and a discharge gas is used to fill the discharge cells.

    摘要: A Plasma Display Panel (PDP) includes: an upper substrate; a lower substrate facing the upper substrate; upper barrier ribs disposed between the upper and lower substrates to define a plurality of discharge cells together with the upper substrate; discharge electrodes adapted to generate a discharge in the plurality of discharge cells; lower barrier ribs formed between the upper barrier rib and lower substrate along a row of the plurality of discharge cells to define a plurality of flow paths by which the discharge cells communicate with each other; a phosphor layer applied at the same level as the lower barrier ribs; and a discharge gas contained within the plurality of discharge cells. Flow resistance is reduced when an impure gas is exhausted and when the discharge gas is injected into the panel, and the product yield and quality of the display are improved, and light emission efficiency is improved and degradation of the phosphor material is avoided.
