Disclosed is a membrane electrode assembly provided with a polymer electrolyte membrane; a catalyst layer (A) which is laminated onto one surface of the polymer electrolyte membrane; a gas diffusion layer (A) which is laminated onto the catalyst layer (A); a catalyst layer (B); and a gas diffusion layer (B). The outer circumferential section of the catalyst layer (A) is the membrane electrode assembly with an integrated frame which comprises a membrane electrode assembly that protrudes from the gas diffusion layer (A) and a frame adhered to the outer circumferential section of the catalyst layer (A), whereby said frame surrounds the edge of the membrane electrode assembly. The surface that is adhered to the frame in the outer circumferential section of the catalyst layer (A) comprises a plurality of cracks.

An ultrasonic scaler tip, capable of effectively removing tartar or the like adhered around an artificial tooth root, is provided. An ultrasonic scaler is also provided, which prevents metal material (for example, ion), except for titanium or titanium alloy, from adhering around the artificial tooth root and disturbing tissue growth and adhesion to the tooth root.

A method for producing an electrode-membrane-frame assembly according to the present invention includes arranging a previously molded first molded body on a circumferential region of first catalyst layer close to first gas diffusion layer, arranging a previously molded second molded body on a circumferential region of second catalyst layer close to second gas diffusion layer, and forming a third molded body by injection molding so as to integrally connect the first molded body and the second molded body and not to be directly in contact with an inner side region of second main surface of a polymer electrolyte membrane positioned on an inner side of an outer edge part of the second molded body when viewed from a thickness direction of the polymer electrolyte membrane, whereby a frame having the first, second, and the third molded body is formed. Thus, the polymer electrolyte membrane can be prevented from deteriorating.

Provided is a hierarchical arbitration device wherein an arbitration device at each level of the hierarchy selects a resource use request having the highest priority and a resource use request having the second highest priority, outputting these two resource use requests to the arbitration device that is one level higher. After outputting the memory use request having the highest priority to a resource control unit as the top priority resource use request, when the arbitration device at the highest level of the hierarchy receives a signal from the memory control unit indicating receipt of the resource use request, the arbitration device then selects the resource use request having the second highest priority and outputs this resource request as the next top priority resource use request.

A display device is disclosed which is capable of suppressing characteristic changes due to a long period of conduction, thereby achieving high-quality video display, and also to provide a drive method therefor. In at least one embodiment, while sequentially activating n first scanning signal line groups G1(1) to G1(n), a predetermined voltage, which is the same as a voltage for turning off a thin-film transistor included in each pixel formation portion in that the polarity thereof is negative and is at a higher level than that voltage, is applied simultaneously to n second scanning signal line groups G2(1) to G2(n). Thereafter, while sequentially activating the n second scanning signal line groups G2(1) to G2(n), the predetermined voltage is applied simultaneously to the n first scanning signal line groups G1(1) to G1(n). By repeating this, charges accumulated in the vicinity of the thin-film transistors are eliminated, thereby suppressing changes in off characteristics thereof. At least one embodiment of the present invention is suitable for matrix display devices intended for a long period of use.

An armrest, has a stationary shaft rotatably supporting an armrest body against a seat frame. The stationary shaft is inserted, so as to have fastening tolerance, inside a coil lock spring and to have a stationary-side hook and a free-side hook. A diameter of the coil lock spring is reduced or enlarged according to a normal or a reverse rotation, respectively, of the armrest body, so as to prevent or permit, respectively, the rotation of the armrest body. One of the inside diameter of the lock spring and the outside diameter of the stationary shaft is tapered in said shaft's axial direction.

There is provided a film electrode assembly for a fuel cell capable of preventing a polymer electrolyte film from being exposed. The film electrode assembly includes: a main body portion of a film electrode assembly having a polymer electrolyte film, and a pair of electrode layers having catalyst layers placed on the two surfaces of the polymer electrolyte film on the inner side from the peripheral edge portion thereof and diffusion layers each having a peripheral edge protruding from the catalyst layer, which are laminated on one another, with a gap being formed between the protruding portion of the diffusion layer and the peripheral edge portion of the polymer electrolyte film; a frame member that sandwiches the peripheral edge portion of the polymer electrolyte film between the paired electrode layers with a gap therebetween, and is formed so as to surround an outer edge of the polymer electrolyte film; and gaskets made of a thermoplastic resin, which are placed on the two surfaces of the frame member. Each gasket includes an annular portion that covers the peripheral edge portion of the main body portion of the film electrode assembly over the entire circumference thereof along the inner edge of the frame member and a gap filling portion that fills the gap.

A MEA-frame assembly is arranged in a mold for injection molding to form a first flow passage arranged so as to extend along the outer periphery of an electrode between the outer periphery of the electrode and the inner periphery of a frame, a second flow passage arranged so as to extend along an inner elastic member between the inner periphery and outer periphery of the frame and a plurality of connecting flow passages which communicate the first flow passage with the second flow passage. An elastic resin is injected into the first flow passage to fill the first flow passage with the elastic resin and to fill the second flow passage with the elastic resin through each of the communicating flow passages, thereby an elastic member which hermetically seals the space between the MEA-frame assembly and the separator is integrally formed.

In a boundary active only scheme proposed by the present invention, only a cell in a boundary of region growth is brought into an active mode, and the other cells are brought into a standby mode. The respective cells perform state transition in parallel, and decision of the state transition performed for each clock cycle is not performed in a case where any of the three conditions that none of the adjacent cells is ignited, the cell itself is already ignited, and the cell already belongs to a certain divided region is satisfied. Therefore the number of simultaneously operating cells and that of coupling weight registers are minimized, and control is automatically executed to reduce power consumption.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a means for integrating an MEA and a pair of separators and regulate their positions without using parts that are specifically dedicated for position regulation use. More specifically, the present invention provides a polymer electrolyte fuel cell including a frame-integrated MEA, a separator having a channel for supplying and releasing a fuel gas, and a separator having a channel for supplying and releasing an oxidizer gas, and, in this fuel cell, the frame body of the frame-integrated MEA has a plurality of projections having a hook-shaped tip on both planes of the frame body and each separators has a plurality of stepped parts, and the projections on the frame body and the stepped parts on the pair of separators are integrated by fitting together with each other.
