摘要： An image formation apparatus has photo conductor drums, and upstream developing rollers and downstream developing rollers that are brought into contact with respective photo conductor drums based on a changeover. The developing rollers develop latent images into visual images. A time required to change over a developing unit from one developing unit to the other developing unit is set as follows. A changeover time T2 from the downstream developing rollers to the upstream developing rollers respectively is set shorter than a changeover time T1 from the upstream developing rollers to the downstream developing rollers.

摘要： An image forming device includes an image forming unit and a thermal fixing unit. The image forming unit uses a plurality of different color developing agents to form a color image on a recording medium. The plurality of different color developing agents are configured from binding resins with the same thermal properties. The plurality of different color developing agents include at least a high-resistance developing agent and a low-resistance developing agent. The high-resistance developing agent has a higher electrical resistance than the low-resistance developing agent and a lower charge-to-mass ratio than the low-resistance developing agent. The thermal fixing unit thermally fixes the color image onto the recording medium.

摘要： An intermediate belt made of an endless belt is provided by 45 degrees inclined horizontally and looped over two rollers at both its ends, and four photosensitive drums are provided in contact with the top surface of this intermediate belt. A reflection mirror is provided over each photosensitive drum, and a single polygon mirror is provided on almost the same level as these reflection mirrors. The polygon mirror is provided on the side of the reflection mirror of which optical path to the corresponding photosensitive drum is the longest so that the optical path lengths from the polygon mirror to the respective photosensitive drums are equal to each other.

摘要： An image forming system is disclosed which can prevent toner stain adhered onto an image bearing member at the time of switching from one developing unit to another from adhering to an image area on an intermediate transfer member and which can thereby prevent the deterioration of image quality. Latent images formed on a photoreceptor drum are developed by developing units in a revolver developing unit, toner images thus formed are primarily transferred in an overlapped state onto an intermediate transfer belt in a primary transfer section, and the thus primarily transferred toner images are together transferred secondarily onto a transfer paper. In this image forming system, a revolving operation of the revolver developing unit is controlled so that an area on the photoreceptor drum with which a developer contained in a Bk developing unit comes into contact upon 22.5null revolution of the revolver developing unit from a home position with consequent movement of the Bk developing unit to a developing position contacts a not-to-be-transferred area on the intermediate transfer belt in the primary transfer section. By so doing, toner stain caused by the Bk developing unit which has moved to the developing position does not exert any influence on the toner images formed on the intermediate transfer belt.
