摘要： The application describes a seal of the type comprising a housing and a J- or U-shaped hasp, the housing having first and second openings to receive the legs of the hasp. The first opening communicating with a third opening of the housing to form a channel for a first leg of the hasp. A locking mechanism is provided within the housing which is biased to resist withdrawal of the first leg of the hasp through the first opening. The hasp being lockable within the housing such that it can only be removed by cutting of the first leg of the hasp. The legs of the hasp are substantially rigid and are connected together by a resilient hinge such that in a first, relaxed position the legs adopt a position in which they are not parallel, the legs being moveable to a second, parallel position against the resilient force of the hinge for insertion into the housing. The housing may be formed of a main body and a cover, the cover being sealed onto the body part, the cover having at least one protrusion which engages in a corresponding recess within the body part, and the protrusion having an aperture therethrough which in use receives one leg of the hasp.

摘要： A molded thermoplastic body is formed with a rectangular cavity. A molded thermoplastic insert is welded to the body in the cavity and has a top cross member, a stem member and a bottom member. The stem member has a plurality of molded fingers cantilevered on opposing sides inclined relative to the stem member longitudinal axis in one embodiment. The stem member forms the cavity into two channels. A wire shackle which may be round or square in section, a wire or molded plastic, is U-shaped with two legs. One leg is formed with notches to receive the tips of the fingers in one channel and the other leg is formed with a reversibly bent barb which engages the fingers in the other channel on the opposite side of the cavity. The bottom member limits the insertion depth of the legs. The notches and barb engage the fingers and lock the shackle to the body. When the shackle is severed, and the notched leg rotated to disengage the notches in the leg from the fingers to remove the leg from the body, the other leg with the barb can not be rotated and readily removed to thereby provide evidence of tampering. Other embodiments are disclosed including providing the notched leg with squared sides and an entrance opening into the corresponding channel that is square to preclude rotation of the notched leg and shackles of different configurations.

摘要： The invention relates to packaging, e.g. an envelope or a parcel, that can be checked for tampering, which packaging includes a hermetically sealed body, the body being formed by folding a sheet of material that has been cut to a predefined shape. In order to track the object packaged in the packaging and in order to check the packaging for tampering, the tampering further includes an electronic component that can be interrogated remotely and that is formed by data storage means connected to an antenna. The antenna is formed by an antenna circuit which extends at least over the entire periphery of the inside surface of the sheet of material. Thus, any fraudulent opening of the packaging can be detected by the antenna circuit breaking, thereby making any transmission with the component of the packaging impossible.

摘要： Security seals (1) are widely used to demonstrate the integrity of a closed container, truck, roll pallet, cage or box. Typically such security seals (21) are made from plastics material and have a strap (2) with a plug (5) at one end and a socket (4) at the other end. The socket includes a one-way lock so that when the security seal (1) is threaded through a locking point and the plug (5) inserted into the socket (4) the plus is locked irremovably into the socket. The only way that the security seal can subsequently be removed is by destroying it. Such a security seal (1) includes a recognizable sequence of indicia (20) extending along substantially the whole length of the strap portion (2) . The presence of the recognizable sequence of indicia (20) along the length of the strap (2) make it almost impossible to cut such a strap (2) and reconnect the cut ends without disrupting the sequence of indicia (20) so that it is immediately evident that the security seal (1) has been tampered with.

It shows a cable seal lock body housed in the cavity of a housing that is welded to a structure defining a covered access. The cable of the cable seal lock passes through a latch for the access opening cover and through the lock body from which it cannot be removed without destruction of the cable. A new cable is usable with the lock body permanently mounted to the covered access opening structure.

摘要： A tamper-proof seal is disclosed for use in connection with sterilization containers. The seal includes a body portion including a sterilization indicating material and a tongue extending from the body portion. The tongue may be in the form of a laminate consisting of a pair of substantially inert outer layers sandwiching a high shrink inner layer. The tongue is designed to engage the latch mechanism of a sterilization container when the container is in the closed position and the latch mechanism is in a latched position. Upon exposure of the container to sterilization conditions, the tongue shrinks, causing the outer layers to fold upon themselves to form at least one pleat. The container latch mechanism cannot be opened without fracturing the tongue of the seal, thereby providing visible evidence of the latch mechanism being opened.

The first strip has a series of locking pins distributed along its length. Each of the locking pins has a weakened base. The second strip is provided with a series of sockets adapted for receiving respective locking pins in locking relation therein. To permit the device to be opened easily when it has been applied to a plastic envelope with the locking pins penetrating orifices formed along the two borders at the mouth of the envelope, at least a part along the length of the longitudinal hinge line is weakened starting from a first end, and each strip is provided, at its first end, with an appendage capable of being held between the fingers of the user.

A fourth washer (46) engages the guard nut (85) and an adhesive (57) material may be inserted. The guard nut (85) is then sealed off with the insertion of a press fit seal cover (95) thus providing a device that prevents easy access to the nut (60) and removal of the bolt (30).Protection for the exposed head (32) of a bolt can be obtained by inserting the bolt (30) through a head guard (35) where a press fit head cover (25) is inserted in the first end (36). An adhesive (57) can be inserted to increase the difficulty of removal of the protection device.

The studs of a plurality of seals include different barb configurations each engagable with any of the tang arrangements and are randomly assembled to the seals, the various combinations of barb configurations and tang arrangements providing enhanced tamper resistance.
