The tracking system may notify the user that a tracking device is potentially lost or in a predicted state based on a number of factors, including: a proximity of a tracking device to other tracking devices or a user's mobile device, a movement of a tracking device to more than a threshold distance away from a mobile device or other tracking devices, a location of a tracking device relative to a geographic location or to geographic boundaries, a usage or movement behavior of the tracking device, a usage or movement behavior of a user or owner of a tracking device, information received from an external source, or information received from sensors within the tracking device or a user's mobile.

摘要: Theft increases the average product cost to consumers. A mentoring system is presented that can help to reduce or prevent the inventory from lost or theft. Theft is a serious concern in the consumer market place. Industry loses billions per year on theft of merchandise. According to a Reuters report, last year, thefts by employees of U.S. retail merchandise accounted for $15.9 billion, or 44 percent of theft losses at stores, more than shoplifting and vendor fraud combined. Thus, the total thief by the customers and store employees during the year 2008 amounted to $36 billion. Several embodiments of ways to control or reduce the thefts in the market place are presented.

摘要: A monitoring circuit configured to be installed within a rechargeable battery, wherein the monitoring circuit is initially configured to function in a storage mode and consume minimal current, wherein the monitoring circuit in storage mode is configured to identify if the rechargeable battery is deployed in a consumer system, then the monitoring circuit changes to a consumer mode in which the monitoring circuit samples the status of the rechargeable battery based on a sensor and/or a global positioning chip, records information of sampling the status in the memory and periodically communicates with a server to transmit the recorded information and receive instructions from the server, wherein in consumer mode if the processor identifies an abnormal event the monitoring circuit changes to function in a movement mode in which it continuously communicates the location of the monitoring circuit to the server.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to merchandise security systems and methods for displaying and protecting an article of merchandise from theft. In one example, the system includes a sensor configured to be secured to the article of merchandise, wherein the sensor includes alarming circuitry. The system also includes a tether comprising a pair of conductors electrically connected to the alarming circuitry, wherein the pair of conductors is configured to transfer power to the sensor and/or to the article of merchandise. In response to power ceasing to be transferred, the alarming circuitry is configured to monitor an electrical signal transmitted through the pair of conductors in order to determine whether the tether has been cut or removed from the sensor.

摘要: In present solar panel theft protection system, a solar panel stops generating power after it is detached from its intended system or if the solar radiation level goes below certain min level. The accordance with the present disclosure solar panel & its connected system identify each other by encrypted codes. The solar panel & its connected system communicate with each other through same power cables which are coming from solar panel (i.e. positive & negative). No extra communication cabling is required.
