Abstract:
A reusable toilet paper roll core holder and methods of modifying existing toilet paper with insert adapters to modify the non-defined openings in the roll. The core holder device can have, but not limited to, a hollow cylindrical wooden tube roll with chamfered tips and flat portion. Further, the structure is configured to insert the hollow part on the uneven inner surfaces of the rolling holder for providing a smoother surface to the rolling holder as a sake of ease.
Abstract:
A system may include a plurality of isolators to transfer data signals across an isolation barrier, one of the signals including a clock signal. A delay circuit may be included to receive the clock signal and provide a delayed clock signal that lags the clock signal by an amount representing a delay across the isolation barrier. The delayed clock signal may be delayed by a round trip propagation delay over the isolation barrier. The delayed clock signal may be used as a reference to read data sent over the isolation barrier.
Abstract:
A bridging seal comprising a stack of two or more layers of elastomer, the bridging seal having a first edge and a second edge opposite the first edge, adjacent layers being attached to each other at the first and second edges, wherein adjacent layers of the bridging seal have opposing surfaces and a substantial portion of the opposing surfaces is unbonded. The bridging seal may be used to seal a gap between two aerodynamic surfaces on an aircraft.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein, among other things, is a stator winding temperature sensor. According to an embodiment, the sensor includes at least one sensing wire coil adapted to be connected to a stator. The sensor also includes a body, including a core material surrounding at least a portion of the sensing wire coil, and a laminate material over the core material. The body has a thickness adapted to protect the sensing wire coil. The sensor includes a lead wire adapted to connect to an external monitoring device. The sensing wire coil is electrically connected to the lead wire at a lead step portion of the sensor. In addition, the sensor includes a tab extending from the lead wire and encompassing the lead step. The tab protects the lead step and the sensing wire coil in a region where the sensor extends over an end of the stator.
Abstract:
An aircraft wing assembly, comprising a front spar, a rear spar, and upper and lower wing covers extending between the front and rear spars, wherein the upper and/or lower wing cover overhangs the rear spar and has a non-linear trailing edge profile forming an array of tabs and cut-outs. Also, a method of assembling the aircraft wing.
Abstract:
A packet-based network carries a stream of voice band data, such as PCM voice data, which can include tandem free operation (TFO) information. Voice data is usually subject to processing, such as compression, at an ingress entity. The ingress entity determines whether the stream of voice data contain tandem free operation (TFO) information and, if TFO information is present, sends the TFO information across the packet network without subjecting it to processing. This preserves the integrity of the TFO information. TFO information can be carried by an unprocessed channel having a bandwidth of less than 64 kbit/s. TFO information is reinserted at an egress entity of the packet network.
Abstract:
A system comprises, a first heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) having an upstream intake duct portion, a first gas turbine engine connected to a first exhaust duct operative to output exhaust from the first gas turbine engine to the upstream intake duct portion of the first HRSG, and a second gas turbine engine connected to a second exhaust duct operative to output exhaust from the second gas turbine engine to the upstream intake duct portion of the first HRSG.
