Abstract: A universal adapter is disclosed for a cup holder included in the console of a vehicle. The universal adapter includes: a bezel; at least one receptacle extending from the bezel; and an electronic temperature control unit supported by the bezel. The bezel is configured in correspondence with a recess defined by the console such that movement of the universal adapter is inhibited via contact between an outer wall of the bezel and an inner wall of the console defining the recess. The at least one receptacle is receivable by the cup holder and is configured to receive a beverage container. The electronic temperature control unit is in electrical communication with the at least one receptacle such that energy is communicated to the at least one receptacle upon activation of the electronic temperature control unit to thereby vary a temperature of the universal adapter.

Abstract: A tire pressure monitoring system interface comprising: a receiver configured to receive tire pressure signals from each of a plurality of tire pressure sensors of a corresponding plurality of vehicle wheels; an alerting device; an electronic input/output device configured to display at least one menu with data selections of tire pressure related data and receive manually inputted instructions; and an electronic controller having electronic memory and being electronically connected to the receiver, the alerting device and the electronic input/output device, the electronic controller being configured to: operate the electronic memory to access data that defines a first tire pressure and a second tire pressure for each of the plurality of wheels, the first tire pressure being for on-road driving conditions and the second tire pressure being for off-road driving conditions, display the at least one menu via the electronic input/output device, receive at least one of data input, data selection and operation instructions, the instructions including requesting off-road driving conditions; monitor tire pressure in each of the plurality of vehicle wheels; determining wheel by wheel whether or not the change in tire pressure in each of the plurality of wheels has been manually achieved by a person manually changing the tire pressure outside of the vehicle; and operating the alerting device to alert the person manually changing the tire pressure that the change in tire pressure has been achieved for each wheel, wheel by wheel.

Abstract: A seat belt positioning mechanism that has a vehicle seat and an elastic tensioning member. The vehicle seat has a frame structure, a cushion portion covering the frame structure and a cover material covering the cushion portion. The cushion portion defines a main seating section and an outboard side seat section extending laterally outboard from a corresponding side of the main seating section. The side seat section defines an opening extending through the cushion portion. The opening is dimensioned to receive a seat belt extending therethrough. The cover material has a cover extension extending into the opening. The elastic tensioning member has a first end fixed to the frame structure and extends under the cover extension into the opening. The elastic tensioning member is dimensioned and shaped to bias the cover extension in an outboard direction against a part of the seat belt located within the opening.
