Abstract: Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing cross link interference (CLI) measurement indication. For example, a user equipment (UE) includes a transceiver configured to enable wireless communication with a base station and a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver. The processor can be configured to receive, using the transceiver, a configuration message from the base station indicating a plurality of cross link interference (CLI) resources. The processor is further configured to receive, using the transceiver, an activation message from the base station activating one or more of the plurality of CLI resources. The processor is further configured to perform a CLI measurement during at least one CLI resource of the activated one or more of the plurality of CLI resources.

Abstract: A first next generation Node B (gNB) is configured to establish a first backhaul communication link with a second gNB as a parent gNB, schedule at least one of a third gNB or a UE for a UL transmission to the first gNB using UL beam management parameters and UL transmission parameters, indicate to the second gNB first beam management parameters for the second gNB to use for transmitting a DL transmission to the first gNB on the first backhaul link and first DL transmission parameters for the DL transmission so that the DL transmission will be received simultaneously with the UL transmission and when the first beam management parameters and the first DL transmission parameters are determined to be used by the second gNB, receiving the DL transmission from the second gNB simultaneously with the UL transmission from the at least one of the third gNB or the UE.

According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a terminal device transmits, to a network device, capability information indicating a capability of the terminal device to relax an evaluation of a radio link quality. The terminal device receives, from the network device, a relaxation configuration for relaxing the evaluation. The terminal device performs the evaluation using a relaxed evaluation period determined based on the relaxation configuration. The relaxed evaluation period is longer than a normal evaluation period without relaxing the evaluation.

Abstract: Systems and methods for using a relay user equipment (UE) to transport data of interest received from a first remote UE to a second remote UE on a UE to UE relay within a wireless communication system are discussed herein. These methods may be performed at Layer 2 of a protocol stack of the wireless communication system. Data packets sent on the UE to UE relay may include an adaptation header including routing information (e.g., Layer 2 addresses, a bearer-specific index, etc.) for the UE to UE relay. An adaptation layer may accordingly be provided within Layer 2 to decode these adaptation headers. In some cases, a per-bearer approach may be used to map between individual direct bearers of a hop by hop path configuration of the UE to UE relay. Embodiments eschewing the adaptation header and instead using logical channel identifiers (LCIDs) to make routing indications are also described.

Abstract: Systems and methods for beam failure recovery (BFR) are disclosed herein. A user equipment (UE) receives downlink (DL) reference signal(s) on corresponding beam(s) from a base station. The UE performs beam failure detection (BFD) on such beams used for user data to determine whether a beam failure has occurred, and candidate beam detection (CBD) on such beams not used for user data to identify candidate beams for recovering from the beam failure. The BFD and the CBD are based on both uplink (UL) channel performance considerations and DL channel performance considerations, as determined using the DL reference signal(s), such that a beam failure may be determined in the UL, the DL, or both, and a candidate beam may be identified for UL, DL, or both. The UE sends a beam failure recovery request BFRQ with this information to the base station, and the system changes beams accordingly.
