    Abstract: Systems, apparatus, methods, and computer programs for fast, direct SCell activation are disclosed. In one aspect, a method can include receiving, by a UE, an RRC command that causes the UE to be configured to detect a TRS transmission of a plurality of TRS transmission bursts broadcast by an access node, disregarding, by the UE, one or more TRS transmission of the plurality of TRS transmission bursts that are received, by the UE, during processing of the received RRC command, and after processing, by the UE, of the received RRC command, decoding a TRS transmission of the plurality of TRS bursts that is received subsequent to completion of processing of the received RRC command for automatic gain control (AGC).

    Abstract: A base station of a network configures a first search space having a first search space identification (SearchSpaceId) in a special cell (SpCell) and a second search space having a second search space identification (SearchSpaceId) in a secondary cell (SCell) for monitoring control signaling that schedules operations on the SpCell. The base station transmits a radio resource control (RRC) configuration to a user equipment (UE) including the first SSID and the second SSID, wherein the RRC configuration configures the UE to monitor the first search space having the first SSID for scheduling of a first type of control signaling and the second search space having the second SSID for scheduling of a second type of control signaling.

    Abstract: Some embodiments include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for enhanced Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ)-ACK in a fifth generation (5G) wireless communications system. A user equipment (UE) can receive, during a HARQ-ACK window, a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) transmission or a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) transmission corresponding to a SPS PDSCH release. The UE can generate a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ)-ACK information bit corresponding to the reception. The UE can be configured with an offset value, k, and a length, l, of the HARQ-ACK window associated with an uplink transmission slot n, of a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) transmission, and determine a starting slot of the HARQ-ACK window as n-k. When a corresponding valid uplink transmission slot is not available, the UE can transmit the HARQ-ACK information bit in the uplink transmission slot n of the PUCCH transmission.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is configured to determine that half-duplex frequency division duplex (HD-FDD) is enabled by a network with which the UE is communicating, identify a collision between a cell-specific downlink reception and a cell-specific uplink transmission and implement a HD-FDD collision handling technique. A UE may also be configured to determine that half-duplex frequency division duplex (HD-FDD) is enabled by a network with which the UE is communicating, perform a first cell-specific uplink transmission at a first time and perform a first cell-specific downlink reception at a second time, wherein a guard period represents a time duration between the first time and the second time during which the UE is not to perform a second different cell-specific uplink transmission or a second different cell-specific downlink reception.
