    Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed. In an example from the perspective of a User Equipment (UE), the UE keeps a dedicated Preconfigured Uplink Resources (PUR) configuration when the UE is in Radio Resource Control (RRC) idle state and a serving cell of the UE is a second cell, wherein the UE is configured with the dedicated PUR configuration in a first cell different than the second cell. The UE selects a third cell during a RRC connection re-establishment procedure. In response to the selecting the third cell, the UE determines whether or not to release the dedicated PUR configuration based upon whether or not the third cell is the same as the first cell, wherein the determining whether or not to release the dedicated PUR configuration is performed when the UE is in RRC connected state.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for selecting beam for preconfigured uplink resources in a wireless communication system are disclosed herein. In one method, a user equipment (UE) receives, from a network node, a signaling to configure at least one Preconfigured Uplink Resource (PUR) associated with one or more beams from multiple beams. The UE selects a first beam from the multiple beams and performs a transmission of data in RRC_INACTIVE state using the at least one PUR via the first beam if the first beam fulfills at least one condition, wherein the at least one condition comprises that the first beam is associated with the at least one PUR and Reference Symbol Received Power (RSRP) of the first beam is better than a first threshold. The UE initiates a Random Access (RA) procedure and performs the transmission during the RA procedure if no beam of the multiple beams fulfills the at least one condition.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a network node. In one embodiment, the method includes the network node transmitting a first slot format information (SFI) to a User Equipment (UE), wherein the first SFI indicates transmitted direction of symbols of a first set of slots. The method also includes the network node transmitting a second SFI carried by a group common physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) to the UE, wherein the second SFI indicates transmitted direction of symbols of a second set of slots, and wherein if the first set of slots and the second set of slots are partially overlapped in time domain and the second SFI is transmitted after the first SFI, transmitted direction of overlapped symbols indicated by the second SFI is aligned with transmitted direction of the overlapped symbols indicated by the first SFI.
