In some embodiments, the article is a hydrocarbon-bearing formation. In some embodiments, the article is a particle, and the method further comprises treating the article with a fluorochemical comprising at least one fluoroaliphatic segment and at least one hydrophilic segment. In some embodiments, the method is used to treat a well bore.
