摘要： A transparent electrode is described and includes metallic nanowires and a polymeric overcoat layer for protecting the nanowires from corrosion and abrasion. The polymeric overcoat layer includes nanoparticles selected from the group consisting of antimony tin oxide, zinc oxide and indium tin oxide, and has a sheet resistance of greater than about 107 ohm/sq. The transparent electrode can be used in electronic displays such as polymer-dispersed liquid crystal, liquid crystal, electrophoretic, electrochromic, thermochromic, electroluminescent and plasma displays.

摘要： A perfluoropolyether thiol compound comprises a perfluoropolyether segment, at least one mercapto group (—SH), and at least one intervening divalent carbonylimino moiety (—C(═O)—NR—, wherein R is hydrogen or alkyl). The compound can be produced, for example, by a ring-opening reaction of thiolactones with perfluoropolyether-substituted, primary or secondary amines. The compound can be used, for example, as a polymerization chain transfer agent, as an intermediate for the preparation of functional group-containing fluorochemical derivatives such as disulfides, and as a fluorinated surface treatment.

摘要： Antireflective films are described having a surface layer comprising a the reaction product of a polymerizable low refractive index composition comprising at least one free-radically polymerizable fluoropolymer and surface modified inorganic nanoparticles. A high refractive index layer is coupled to the low refractive index layer. In one embodiment, the high refractive index layer comprises surface modified inorganic nanoparticles dispersed in a crosslinked organic material. The antireflective film is preferably durable, exhibiting a haze of less than 1.0% after 25 wipes with steel wool using a 3.2 cm mandrel and a mass of 1000 grams.

摘要： Optical films are described that comprise an antistatic primer disposed on the substrate and a high refractive index layer disposed on the primer. The primer comprises a sulfopolymer and at least one antistatic agent. The high refractive index layer comprises surface modified inorganic nanoparticles dispersed in a crosslinked organic material. The antistatic agent is preferably selected from conductive inorganic particles, conductive polymer, and mixtures thereof. Also describes are antistatic compositions and surface treated conductive inorganic oxide particles.

摘要： The present invention provides composition for treating a substrate comprising a homogeneous mixture of: (a) a fluorinated silane of the formula: Rff1-[-Q-SiY3-xR1x]y (I) wherein Rf1 represents a monovalent or divalent perfluorinated group, Q represents an organic divalent linking group, R1 represents a C1-C4 alkyl group, Y represents a hydrolysable group; x is 0 or 1 and y is 1 or 2; (b) compressed fluid carbon dioxide; and (c) optionally an organic or inorganic acid. The invention further provides a method of making such a composition and the use thereof to treat substrates to render them oil and water repellent.
