Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for muting resource elements used for wireless communications is disclosed. In one aspect, a method can include actions of obtaining, by user equipment (UE), configuration data that indicates a frequency density of muted resource blocks, identifying, by the UE and based on a value of an antenna ports information element in downlink control information (DCI) that schedules a PUSCH transmission, a group of resource elements within the muted resource blocks, determining, by the UE, a muted resource pattern (MRP) within the RBs for the scheduled PUSCH based on the frequency density of the muted resource blocks and the identified group of resource elements, and transmitting, by the UE, an allocation of RBs for PUSCH without transmission on the identified group of resource elements of the determined MRP.

Abstract: A wireless user equipment (UE) may employ any of various mechanisms for reporting signal quality measurements to a wireless network. The UE may impose a time delay between measurement and reporting, based on a delay parameter K. The UE may average measurements obtained at different measurement instances. The UE may employ any of various schemes for prioritizing transmission of one type of report over another, when temporal collisions occur between different types of report. The UE may employ a differential report that includes a state for indicating that a beam is not workable. The UE may employ a beam index that includes a state for indicating an invalid beam. A base station may receive a signal quality report and determine workability of a beam, e.g., by triggering a report of channel state information.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems are disclosed for providing traffic information pertaining to a data traffic group, e.g., for use in 3GPP XR communications. A UE may transmit a traffic flow including data of a certain type (e.g., video, audio, control/pose) generated by an application implemented on the UE, such as an augmented reality application. The traffic flow may include bursts of data traffic groups, wherein each group includes a plurality of data packets containing a functional set of data, such as data for encoding a single video frame. A UE may generate and transmit, to a base station, traffic information regarding the nature, status, performance, and/or constraints of the data traffic group. The base station may use the traffic information to make intelligent scheduling decisions regarding the data traffic group.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for performing downlink signal reception with antenna panel switching in a wireless communication system. A cellular base station may receive an indication of an antenna panel activation delay from a wireless device. The cellular base station may select a scheduling offset for a transmission to the wireless device based at least in part on the antenna panel activation delay. The scheduling offset may be selected to be at least the length of the antenna panel activation delay if it is expected that the wireless device may perform antenna panel activation to receive the transmission. The cellular base station may schedule the transmission to the wireless device using the selected scheduling offset, and may perform the transmission to the wireless device at the selected scheduling offset after scheduling the transmission to the wireless device.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems are disclosed for enhancing timing relationships in non-terrestrial networks (NTNs), e.g., by managing timing offset values and intelligently handling reporting failure relating to timing information reporting. To accommodate increased propagation delay in NTNs, a user equipment (UE) may supplement its timing advance (TA) value with component values representing roundtrip times to the satellite. The UE may maintain both open-loop and closed-loop portions of the TA value, and may report the TA value, or components thereof, to the network for timing synchronization. Methods and systems are also disclosed for failure handling in this reporting process.
