摘要: A method and arrangement for making a handover decision in a multi-access communication network is disclosed. A first set of criteria is determined for when a handover between at least two access paths should be performed and a report is sent when at least one criterion of a first set of criteria is fulfilled. A second set of criteria is determined for when a handover between said at least two access paths should be performed and a report is sent when at least one criterion of said second set of criteria is fulfilled. One or more data sessions of at least one user terminal network are determined to be handed over based on the sent reports and a core network anchor and a terminal anchor are directed to execute a handover by re-routing said determined data sessions from one access path to an alternative access path.

摘要: A method of access management in a communication system comprising a terminal, a first access point, a second access point and a network is described. The first access point offers a first access connection to the terminal and the second access point offers a second access connection to the terminal. A first network connection is provided between the network and the first access point and a second network connection is provided between the network and the second access point. Access connection information associated with at least one of the first and second access connections is monitored, and network connection information associated with at least one of the first and second network connections is monitored. An access connection selection decision is based on the monitored access connection information and the monitored network connection information.

摘要: Data Block Transmission with Variable Retransmission Feedback Time For communicating data between a transmitter (10) and a receiver (14), wireless transmission of data blocks is implemented on the basis a retransmission protocol with variable value of a feedback time. The feedback time defines a time interval between transmission of one of the data blocks (22) and transmission of a feedback message (23) indicating whether the data block (22) was successfully received. The transmitter (10) or the receiver (14) determines the value of the feedback time. Depending on the determined value of the feedback time, the transmitter (10) controls transmission of the data block (22) to the receiver and/or the receiver (14) controls reception of the data block (22) at the receiver (14). The transmitter (10) may for example be a base station of a mobile network, and the receiver (14) may be a terminal device connected to the mobile network.

摘要: A method aims at controlling parameters used by communication terminals of a telecommunication system which enables discontinuous reception. The discontinuous reception involves DRX cycles during each one of which a communication terminal wakes up at least once to monitor a downlink control channel. The telecommunication system enables the use of DRX cycles of different lengths. The method includes a determining procedure (s10) comprising determining, on a per communication terminal basis, whether the communication terminal is eligible to rely on a terminal-controlled mobility procedure, wherein determining is based on at least one characteristic of the communication terminal. The method also includes a setting procedure (s20) comprising, at least for one of the possible outcomes of the determining procedure (s10), setting one or more parameters on the communication terminal accordingly.

摘要: A wireless spectrum is shared between a primary communication system and secondary communication system operating in an overlapping geographical region. A primary transmitter broadcasts a primary signal, and a secondary transmitter transmits a secondary signal, both using a primary wireless spectrum assigned to the primary communication system. The secondary transmitter transmits the secondary signal to a secondary receiver with power (1−α)P and transmits the primary signal with power αP. The parameter α is computed to ensure a predetermined quality of reception of the primary signal by a hypothetical primary receiver located near the secondary transmitter. The secondary transmitter may compute a feasibility of using cognitive transmission and, when the computed feasibility exceeds or does not exceed a feasibility threshold, it selects to enable or disable, respectively, the use of the primary wireless spectrum to transmit from the secondary transmitter.

摘要: A technique for signalling activation or deactivation of a data-over-non-access-stratum, NAS, transmission scheme is disclosed, the transmission scheme being for transmitting data packets over the NAS between a terminal and a base station, and being started in an idle mode. In a method aspect, there are steps of determining a trigger condition indicating a need for the data-over-NAS transmission scheme, and signalling an indication for activation or deactivation in response to fulfilment or non-fulfilment of the determined trigger condition. In another method aspect, there may be steps of receiving the indication for activation or deactivation, and activating or deactivating the data-over-NAS transmission scheme in response to the signalled indication.
