Abstract:
A parallel optical communications device is provided that has an OSA that includes at least one heat dissipation block having a slot formed in a lower surface thereof that contains a weldable insert. Likewise, an upper surface of the mounting device of the ESA has at least one slot formed therein that contains a weldable insert. After the OSA is placed in contact with the ESA and optically aligned with the ESA, the OSA is secured to the upper surface of the mounting device of the ESA by welding together the respective weldable inserts contained in the respective slots in the OSA and in the mounting device of the ESA. The welding process results in an extremely strong welded joint between the OSA and the ESA that prevents relative movement between the OSA and the ESA if external forces that are exerted on the OSA and/or on the ESA.
Abstract:
Nets of a logic design are efficiently routed in a programmable logic device, which includes multiple types of programmable interconnects. Patterns are read from a library in a storage device. Each pattern includes an ordered set of the types of the programmable interconnects. A path is determined from the source to the destination for each net of the logic design. The path is through a sequence of the programmable interconnects having types that correspond to each type in the ordered set of a selected pattern. A description is output of the path for each of the nets.
Abstract:
A computer readable storage medium includes executable instructions to analyze sort options associated with an input table and a comparison table. It is determined whether a consistent sort can be performed by a first database associated with the input table and a second database associated with the comparison table. A first sort operation is performed on the input table at the first database and a second sort operation is performed on the comparison table at the second database when a consistent sort can be achieved. Sort operations on the input table and the comparison table are executed at a common sort engine when a consistent sort cannot be performed by the first database and the second database.
Abstract:
A computer readable storage medium includes executable instructions to assess system cache resources, inter-process communication requirements and staging requirements to divide an extract, transform, load (ETL) dataflow task into a plurality of sub-tasks. The sub-tasks are then executed in parallel on distributed resources.
Abstract:
The invention relates to processes for treating a pulp, and for making a paper material such as paper, cardboard linerboard, corrugated paperboard, tissue, towels, corrugated containers boxes etc. these processes comprising an alkaline treatment of a pulp, a treatment with a pectin lyase and/or a pectate lyase, and, if desired, a draining of the pulp. Pectate lyase in combination with pectinesterase may be substituted for pectin lyase. The invention also relates to the use of xylanase, pectin lyase, pectate lyase, and/or the combination of pectate lyase with pectinesterase for anionic trash reduction and/or reduction of cationic demand of a paper pulp.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the use of a carbohydrate oxidase to reduce or prevent malodor. The present invention also relates to a deodorizing ercomposition comprising a carbohydrate oxidase.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to compositions comprising: a polypeptide having cellulolytic enhancing activity and a liquor. The present invention also relates to methods of using the compositions.
Abstract:
A vascular graft for treatment of diseased or damaged blood vessels is disclosed. The graft comprises a sheet of acellular tissue matrix with an intact basement membrane. The graft is formed by wrapping the sheet into a tube and securing the edges of the sheet together. The acellular tissue matrix facilitates tissue ingrowth and remodeling of the graft with host cells.
Abstract:
Provided are a paging method and device for MTC user equipment. The method includes: the MTC user equipment in an MTC user equipment group receives group paging indication information and group paging information transmitted at one or more paging occasions by a network side, where the one or more paging occasions are notified to the MTC user equipment group by the network side or acquired by calculation according to an MTC user equipment group identity, the group paging indication information is used for indicating presence of the group paging information, and the group paging information is used for indicating a change in group trigger information; and, the MTC user equipment determining, according to the group paging information, on whether or not further reading of the group trigger information is needed.
