Abstract: Logic to initialize a scrambler. Logic to receive a portion of a first physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) comprising a multi-user ready to send (MU-RTS) and first scrambler initialization bit sequence used to scramble the MU-RTS prior to transmission of the PPDU. Logic to determine a second scrambler initialization bit sequence in accordance with a pre-defined procedure. Logic to generate a medium access control (MAC) clear to send (CTS) frame to transmit in response to receipt of the MU-RTS. Logic to initialize a scrambler with the scrambler initialization bit sequence. Logic to generate a second PPDU comprising the CTS frame, the generation of the second PPDU to scramble the CTS frame with the scrambler after initialization. Logic to cause the transmission of the second PPDU in response to receipt of the MU-RTS. And logic to determine scrambler initialization bits having seven least significant bits are not all zeros.

An apparatus of an EHT access point (AP) or EHT station (STA), where the apparatus includes processing circuitry configured to: encode a physical layer (PHY) protocol data unit (PPDU), the PPDU including a EHT preamble, the EHT preamble including a legacy preamble portion and a EHT preamble portion, the legacy preamble including a legacy short training field (L-SFT), a legacy long-training field (L-LTF), and a legacy signal field (L-SIG), the EHT preamble portion comprising an EHT short signal field (EHT S-SIG), the EHT S-SIG including a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) subfield indicating a MCS of a subsequent data portion. The PPDU may be transmitted on a distributed or contiguous resource unit (RU) allocation. The RU may be configured to not straddle two physical 20 MHz subchannels.

Abstract: Embodiments of a station (STA) and method of communication are generally described herein. The STA may be included in a first plurality of STAs affiliated with a first multi-link logical entity (MLLE). A plurality of links may be established between the first MLLE and a second MLLE, wherein the second MLLE may be affiliated with a second plurality of STAs. The STA may receive a first subset of a sequence of MAC protocol data units (MPDUs). A second subset of the sequence of MPDUs may be transmitted by another STA of the first plurality of STAs. The STA may transmit a block acknowledgement (BA) frame that includes: a number of BA bitmaps, configurable to values greater than or equal to one; and BA control information for each of the BA bitmaps.

Abstract: The disclosure provides techniques for configuration of a NFRP trigger frame for a NDP feedback report procedure. Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to tone mapping for a high-efficiency (HE) trigger-based (TB) null data packet (NDP) feedback physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU). A device may identify a frame received from a second device. The device may determine, based on the frame, a resource unit allocated to the device, wherein the resource unit is associated with a 20 MHz sub-channel of a bandwidth. The device may determine, based on the resource unit and the bandwidth, tones associated with a HE short training field (HE-STF) of a HE TB NDP feedback PPDU. The device may send the HE TB NDP feedback PPDU to the second device in the 20 MHz sub-channel, wherein the HE TB NDP feedback PPDU includes the tones.

Abstract: Embodiments of an AP and wake up radio (WUR) non-AP station (STA) are generally described herein. The AP may transmit a WUR packet to wake up a wireless local area network (WLAN) radio of the WUR non-AP STA. A non-WUR portion of the WUR packet may include legacy fields and a BPSK mark to spoof high throughput (HT) devices receiving the WUR packet. The AP may transmit the BPSK mark in a channel that includes a lower guard band, a transmission bandwidth, and an upper guard band. The AP may encode the BPSK mark in accordance with: on-off keying (OOK) modulation in a center portion of the transmission bandwidth; and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) in a remaining portion of the transmission bandwidth that excludes the center portion.
