Abstract:
An optical connector apparatus includes a connector which is connected to an electro-optical composite cable including an optical fiber and a metal conductor, and a connection object to be connected. The connector is provided with a ferrule which has a conductive portion on at least a part of the surface thereof. The connection object to be connected is provided with an electrically conductive connection member to be connected to the ferrule. The ferrule and the cable are connected by a crimping structure. When the ferrule is inserted in the connection member, the connector and the connection object to be connected are electrically and optically connected to each other. Provided is also an optical connector apparatus which comprises a connector having a plurality of ferrules having distances between the end of the ferrules and the conductive portions so that the timing of the connection of the connector to the object to be connected is delayed, and thus the optical connector apparatus is capable of hot swapping. The connection object to be connected can be a combination of an adapter and a mating connector, or an optical element and an adapter which holds the same, etc.
Abstract:
A connector has a socket contact to be electrically connected to a counter-connector contact, the socket contact including: one or more pairs of conduction contact points disposed respectively on both sides of a fitting plane in an elastically displaceable manner; and one or more pairs of displacement regulator contact points disposed respectively on both sides of the fitting plane and coming into contact with the counter-connector contact when the counter-connector contact shifts, the one or more pairs of conduction contact points and the one or more pairs of displacement regulator contact points are disposed side by side in a direction along the fitting plane at a substantially same depth in a fitting direction, each of the pairs of displacement regulator contact points having a gap therebetween larger than that in each of the pairs of conduction contact points.
Abstract:
A connector that can satisfy the two requirements of improving workability in connecting and removing the connector, and securing connection strength. A fitting portion of the connector, which is inserted in a hole formed in a FPC, is configured to be flexible. The fitting portion is flexed to thereby make it possible to insert the fitting portion into the hole of the FPC by a small insertion force, and the fitting portion is elongated to thereby make it possible to press two contact portions provided thereon against a first terminal portion and a second terminal portion provided in the hole of the FPC, respectively.
Abstract:
A connector reduced in height without reducing contact reliability. A contact of the connector includes a first spring portion that supports a contact portion, a second spring portion that supports a connection portion, and an integral connection portion that integrally connects the first spring portion and the second spring portion. The first spring portion and the second spring portion are arranged on an imaginary straight line that extends through the contact portion and is parallel to a connection direction, and the integral connection portion is made away from the imaginary straight line in a direction orthogonal to the connection direction.
Abstract:
A thin connector includes a first connector portion having arrayed first contacts with first contact portions and a second connector portion having arrayed second contacts with second contact portions, each first contact including a first movable portion displaceable in the direction in which the first contacts are arrayed and a second movable portion connected to the first movable portion and displaceable in a direction orthogonal to the direction in which the first contacts are arrayed, the first contact portion being disposed in the second movable portion, the first connector portion and the second connector portion being fitted with each other by sliding relatively in the direction in which the first contacts and the second contacts are arrayed.
