Abstract:
A memory unit has a busy control system that includes a busy control register that may be written by a controller. The contents of the busy control register determine whether a signal is sent from the memory unit to the controller and, if so, which of a plurality of signals is sent. A signal may automatically be sent from a selected memory unit and masked from an unselected unit.
Abstract:
A method of executing an instruction set having a first instruction and a second instruction, includes: reading the first instruction; determining whether the first instruction is integral with the second instruction; reading the second instruction; if the first instruction is integral with the second instruction, interpreting a first operator field of the second instruction to represent a first operator; and if the first instruction is not integral with the second instruction, interpreting the first operator field of the second instruction to represent a second operator, wherein the first operator is different to the second operator.
Abstract:
A method of encapsulating a long instruction in a set of short instructions for execution on a processor, the long instruction having k bits and each short instruction having l bits where l
Abstract:
A pressure-measurement device includes a pressure-measurement surface, which is functionally connected to a test body, and a sealed pressure-measurement housing in which the test body is arranged. The pressure-measurement surface is carried by a deformable wall of the sealed pressure-measurement housing lying at a distance from the test body. The sealed pressure-measurement housing delimits an internal space, which is a space internal to the sealed housing. The pressure-measurement device also includes a pressure-transmission object that transmits the pressure between the pressure-measurement surface and the test body. The pressure-transmission object includes a substantially incompressible material occupying all of the internal space. The pressure-measurement device further includes an energy source and a processor for processing pressure data detected by the test body. The processor is arranged in the sealed pressure-measurement housing.
Abstract:
Light fixtures are disclosed having a first light source. The light fixtures can include a second light source, and a flameless candle that includes the first light source. A sensor can also be included that is configured to detect at least one of movement and light, and produces a sensor signal.
Abstract:
A method for designing an air intake apparatus. The method includes receiving an indication of a requirement. A number of structural members to be used in the air intake and, optionally, one or more dimensions corresponding to the structural members are determined based at least in part on the requirement. A three-dimensional model of an air intake is generated based at least in part on the plurality of structural members and presented. One or more two-dimensional models may be generated based on the three-dimensional model and may further be output as manufacturing diagrams.
Abstract:
Disclosed are simple easy to understand TV camera based input and programming devices for computers, as well as local or remote means to assimilate data or commands. The invention in one preferred embodiment, uses printed matter imaged by one or more TV cameras, which results in enhanced ease of comprehension, distribution and touch command input of programs. The printed matter may be for example, newspaper clippings, children's books, chess boards, or board games. Certain aspects of the invention share some characteristics of a touch screen, in the sense of additionally determining the location of objects positioned by a user, or portions of a user, such as fingers or hands.
