Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a network, a session establishment request that includes at least one indication associated with a multicast broadcast service (MBS) session. Accordingly, the UE may receive, from the network, a response to the session establishment request. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may transmit, to the network, a session release request that includes at least one indication associated with the MBS session. Abstract: A Registration Area (RA) supporting UE satellite access to a serving PLMN may correspond to a geodetic area (e.g. a circle) and may be determined by a network node (e.g. AMF) based on a current geodetic location of the UE. The UE may access a radio cell supported by a satellite for a serving PLMN. The UE may determine whether the radio cell provides coverage for the RA, e.g., based on whether an updated geodetic location of the UE is inside the RA or based on whether a geodetic coverage area of the radio cell covers at least part of the RA. The UE may perform a Registration with the serving PLMN via the radio cell when the radio cell is determined to not provide coverage for the RA. The serving PLMN may page the UE, when idle, using radio cells whose coverage includes at least part of the RA.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to a mechanism to enable interworking between fifth generation system (5GS) network slicing and evolved packet core (EPC) connectivity. In an example, techniques are provided for existing packet data unit (PDU) sessions that provide connectivity to a network slice from a set of network slices. Connectivity to the network slice is in response to a user equipment (UE), that uses network slices, moving between a 5G network and a 4G network. The existing PDU sessions are connected to a dedicated EPC core network that supports the same services provided by the network slice.

Abstract: In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, via a first radio access technology (RAT), system information that identifies a set of frequencies of a second RAT and one or more available multicast or broadcast (MB) services. The UE may trigger a switch from a first multicast radio bearer (MRB), of the first RAT, to a first unicast dedicated radio bearer (DRB), of the first RAT, for reception of an MB service via the first RAT. The UE may transmit an indication that indicates the MB service or a frequency via which the MB service is available via the second RAT. The UE may receive an MRB configuration associated with receiving the MB service via a target base station using the second RAT. The UE may switch from a second unicast DRB, of the second RAT, to a second MRB, of the second RAT, after handover.

A method of wireless communications by a network determines whether a call initiator is in a list received from a UE (user equipment) in response to receiving a mobile terminated call for the UE. The list comprises multiple mobile station international subscriber directory numbers (MSISDNs). The network also transmits a message to the UE indicating whether the mobile terminated call is from one of the MSISDNs in the list.

The UE may receive, from the first RAN node, a release message indicating that one or more core network nodes associated with the first subscription have suspended the downlink transmissions related to the first subscription. Accordingly, the UE may enter an inactive mode on a first wireless network associated with the first subscription and enter a connected mode on a second wireless network associated with the second subscription based at least in part on the release message.
