Abstract:
A hinge for a notebook computer is composed of a pintle and two barrels. The first barrel is provided outside the first part of the pintle, and the second barrel is provided outside the second part of the pintle. At least one arcuate protrusion is formed on the pintle. The first barrel has a lug formed at an end facing the arcuate protrusion and abutting the arcuate protrusion. When the computer is closed, the first barrel is compressed to provide an elastic force to open the monitor.
Abstract:
An automatically adjusting support for an LCD monitor is composed of a bottom seat, an elevating part, a rotating part, a longitudinally moving part, and an installing plate. An LCD monitor secured on the installing plate can be adjusted in height by the elevating part, at a horizontal angle by the rotating part, and at a vertical angle by the longitudinally moving part.
Abstract:
A stand for an LCD monitor with a back is composed of a locking member, a first pivoting member, a second pivoting member, a monitor bracket, a base and two base brackets. The monitor bracket is attached to the back of the LCD monitor. The pivoting members are securely attached to the base brackets on the base. The monitor bracket can be pivoted relative to the base by using the pivoting members, so that the LCD monitor is folded to reduce its overall volume for packing, storing or transporting.
Abstract:
A pivoting assembly for a notebook computer is disclosed. The pivoting assembly has a sleeve with a hole defined on one end, a pivoting axle extending into the hole, a positioning rod co-axially protruding from one end of the pivoting axle and received in the hole, multiple disk springs each having a central hole through which the positioning rod extends, at least one oil recess defined on the inner periphery of the central hole for lubricating oil in each oil recess, a limiting means to keep the pivoting axle from pulling away from the hole and a fixed means for keeping the disk springs from pivoting with the pivoting axle such that a pivoting assembly with a lubricating effect is achieved.
Abstract:
A pivot device with multiple pivotal bars for a notebook computer is disclosed. The pivot device has a main frame and multiple pivotal bars pivotally mounted on the main frame. Each pivotal bar has a positioning means mounted thereon to position each corresponding bar at a desired angle. The pivot device can be connected to several different units of the notebook computer with the multiple pivotal bars respectively. Such that, a digital photo unit can be connected with the notebook computer directly by the pivot device. This will improve the convenience of using and carrying the computer and the digital photo device outdoors.
Abstract:
A hinge for a notebook computer is disclosed. The hinge is composed of a base and a hinge member pivotally mounted on the base by a pintle. The base has a pulley bracket pivotally mounted thereon and a pulley rotatably mounted on the bracket. A tongue is mounted on the pintle and can be pivoted with the hinge member. A distal end of the tongue is engaged with the pulley and located below the pulley when the computer is closed. When the computer is to be opened, the tongue is pivoted upwards to push the pulley bracket pivoted upwards, and disengaged from the pulley. When the computer is to be closed, the tongue is pivoted downwards to push the pulley bracket pivoted downwards, and located below the pulley again. Because the tongue is limited by the pulley, the pintle is unable to be freely rotated and the display is securely closed.
Abstract:
A positioning pivot including a shaft having a first portion, a second portion and a third portion, a sleeve and a hinge butt and is able to prolong its life span by inserting the third portion into the sleeve and the second portion into a first collar of the hinge butt. With the helical grooves defined in the second and the third portions, the helical slits defined in the sleeve and the first collar are able to disperse the lubricant over a larger area and thus provide the proper friction therebetween.
Abstract:
A hinge device has a first portion defined therein a channel, a lateral slot and a longitudinal slot and a second portion having an axis formed therewith and rotatably received within the channel of the first portion. The lateral slot and the longitudinal slot of the first portion are able to provide the hinge device of the invention recovery force of dual orientations according to various orientation requirement of load.
