摘要: A ceramic dynamic pressure bearing, includes: a first member having an outer periphery formed with a gap forming surface causing a radial dynamic pressure, and a second member having an inner periphery defining a through hole formed with a gap forming surface causing the radial dynamic pressure. The first member is inserted into the through hole as to form a radial gap. The first member and the second member make rotation relative to each other to cause a fluid dynamic pressure at the radial gap. The first member and the second member are composed of an alumina ceramic including: an aluminum 90% to 99.5% by weight, and an oxide sintering assistant 0.5% to 10% by weight. The outer periphery has cylindricity not larger than 1.0 &mgr;m, and roundness not larger than 0.5 &mgr;m. The inner periphery has cylindricity not larger than 1.5 &mgr;m, and roundness not larger than 1.0 &mgr;m.

摘要: The porous oil-impregnated bearing 1 comprises a bearing body 1a made of a porous material, and oil retained in the pores of the bearing body 1a by impregnation with lubricating oil or lubricating grease. The inner peripheral surface of the bearing body 1a is formed with a bearing surface 1b opposed to an outer peripheral surface of a shaft to be supported, with a bearing clearance defined therebetween. The bearing surface 1b has a first region m1 in which a plurality of hydrodynamic pressure generating grooves 1c inclined in one direction with respect to the axial direction are circumferentially disposed, a second region m2 which is axially spaced from said first region m1 and in which a plurality of hydrodynamic pressure generating grooves 1c inclined in the other direction with respect to the axial direction are circumferentially disposed, and an annular smooth region n disposed between the first and second regions m1 and m2.

摘要: A powder metal main bearing cap has integral dowels at its adjoining face around bolt holes and tooth projections surrounding the dowels. The dowels are force fit into counterbores in the engine block and the teeth bite into the metal of the block around the bolt holes to inhibit fretting wear. Elongated bolt holes can be formed in the main bearing cap to accommodate a splayed joint, with the bolt head supporting face of the cap at an oblique angle to the hole. The bearing cap can be first pressed into the engine block so as to assure indentation by the teeth and insertion of the dowels, followed by bolting.

摘要: A dynamic pressure bearing apparatus comprises a rotary shaft, a sintered oil retaining bearing rotatably supporting the rotary shaft, the sintered oil retaining bearing having an interior surface defining an internal surface configuration for generating dynamic pressure to thereby form a dynamic pressure bearing between the rotary shaft and the sintered oil retaining bearing. The internal surface of the sintered oil retaining bearing comprises in a peripheral direction thereof, a minimum-gap section, a large-gap section and a separation groove section. The minimum-gap section has the minimum gap between the rotary shaft and the internal surface of the sintered oil retaining bearing. The large-gap section is continuous to the minimum-gap section, and has a larger gap between the rotary shaft and the sintered oil retaining bearing than that at the minimum-gap section to thereby increase pressure of lubrication oil that is present between the rotary shaft and the sintered oil retaining bearing toward the minimum-gap section. The separation groove section is provided between the large-gap section and the minimum-gap section. The separation groove section has a gap greater than that of the large-gap section. The minimum-gap section and the large-gap section define a dynamic pressure bearing surface section. The minimum-gap section is located at a predetermined angular position with respect to the separation groove section in a manner that a ratio between an arc angle defined by the dynamic pressure bearing surface section and the predetermined angular position of the minimum-gap section is 1:0 through 0.2. Furthermore, a maximum gap in the large-gap section with respect to the rotary shaft is two times or less greater than a minimum gap at the minimum-gap section with respect to the rotary shaft.

摘要: With the invention liquid lubricated radial sliding bearings are shown, of which the bearing sleeve is elastically fastened in an outer part and forms an elastic journalling with a shaft part which can follow thermal heat expansions and inclined positions of the shaft to a limited extent. Because the bearing material is fastened in a bearing ring and the outer part is formed in a single part to a resilient ring and a support ring which has resilient support surfaces which are directed inwardly and at which the bearing ring lies under a bias force, elastic bearings for high and low temperatures and for differently corrosive lubrication liquids are possible with the same outer dimensions.
