    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device for forming a toner image on an image bearing member, a transfer member for transferring the toner image from the image bearing member onto a transfer material by being supplied with a bias voltage, a bias voltage application device for applying a normal bias voltage of a polarity opposite to that of toner or a reverse bias voltage opposite in polarity to the normal bias voltage, a controller for controlling the bias voltage application device, and integral current detector for detecting an integral of an amount of a current flowing from the bias voltage application device to the transfer member. The integral current detector is capable of detecting an integral current amount of the normal bias voltage at the time of applying the normal bias voltage and an integral current amount of the reverse bias voltage at the time of applying the reverse bias voltage. The controller controls the bias voltage application device so that an absolute value of the integral current amount of the reverse bias voltage is in the range of not less than 0.2% and less than 25% of an absolute value of the integral current amount of the normal bias voltage.

Also disclosed is a process for preparing a 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-3,5-heptanesione metal complex using the 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-3,5-heptanedione obtained by the above process. The process for preparing 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-3,5-heptanedione is an industrially advantageous process in which an alkali metal alkoxide that is easy to handle can be used-as a catalyst for preparing 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-3,5-heptanedione from a pivalic acid alkyl ester and pinacolone.

    摘要: A data copyright management system comprises a database for storing original data, a key control center for managing crypt keys, copyright management center for managing data copyrights, and a communication network for connecting these sections. Data supplied from the database to users is encrypted and distributed. The users decrypts the encrypted data by crypt keys obtained from the key control center or copyright management center. To supply data to users, there are the following two methods: a one-way supplying of encrypted data to users by means of broadcasting or the like; and two-way supplying of encrypted data to users corresponding to users' requests. A crypt key system used for encrypting data uses a secret-key cryptosystem, a public-key cryptosystem or a cryptosystem combining a secret-key and a public-key and further uses a copyright control program to control data copyrights. When a user stores, copies, or transfers data, the data is encrypted by a crypt key different from a crypt key used for supplying the data. The former crypt key is supplied from the key control center or from the copyright management center, or generated by the copyright control program. The present invention can be applied to a data copyright management system for using not only single data but also a plurality of data supplied from a single database or a plurality of data supplied from a plurality of databases. Further, an apparatus to be used by the user to perform data copyright management is proposed.

    摘要: A data copyright management system is provided, in which a primary user edits a received data and supplies the edited data to a secondary user. The copyright management system comprises a database and a key control center, and uses a primary copyright label, a primary use permit key including a first crypt key, a secondary use permit key, a third crypt key, and a copyright management program. The primary user decrypts the copyrighted primary data, which is encrypted using the first crypt key and supplied, to plaintext using a primary use permit key obtained from the key control center and utilizes it. If the copyrighted primary data is stored in a primary user device, it is re-encrypted using the primary use permit key. The primary user receives a secondary use permit key for editing the copyrighted primary data from the key control center and edits the copyrighted primary data. The data being edited is encrypted using the secondary use permit key and is stored. When edit has been completed, the primary user receives a third crypt key for secondary exploitation right as the secondary copyright from the key control center, encrypts the edited data using the third crypt key and distributes it to the secondary user. The secondary user receives the third crypt key from the key control center and utilizes the edited data. The third crypt key may be generated by the primary user or by the key control center.

    摘要: The present invention provides a process for managing data copyright in the case when a primary user produces new data by editing a plurality of original data which have been supplied from data broadcasting, a recording medium or a database, and supplies the new data to a secondary user. A public-key and a private-key of the primary user, and a first secret-key and a second secret-key of the original data, each of which is controlled by a copyright management center, and an edit program are used. The primary user, who is supplied a plurality of original data encrypted by each first secret-key thereof, decrypts the plurality of original data by each of the secret-keys and produces new data using the edit program. The primary user re-encrypts the new data by the second secret-key of each original data, respectively. The re-encrypted data is supplied to the secondary-user, together with editing process data which includes a digital signature generated using the private-key. The secondary user presents the editing process data with the digital signature to a copyright management center. The copyright management center confirms that the digital signature is of the primary user, and then, transmits the second secret-key for the respective original data. In the present data copyright management process, it is possible that the secondary user edits again the data which has been edited, by using the second secret-key in place of the first secret-key and using a third secret-key in place of the second secret-key.
