Abstract: A user equipment (UE) device may perform random access to a base station in the context where propagation delay between the base station and the UE device is large. The UE device randomly selects a random access preamble from an available set of preambles. The UE device selects a time slot for transmission of the random access preamble based on a configured correspondence between allowable time slots and subsets of the available set. The UE device transmits the random access preamble to a base station in the selected time slot, with timing advance to compensate for a common delay. Thus, the base station, knowing the configured correspondence, is able to determine the time slot in which the random access preamble was transmitted. The UE device receives a random access response that has been addressed with a Random Access Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RA-RNTI).

The UE receives, from a base station of a wireless network, a multicast radio bearer (MRB) configuration, wherein the MRB includes configuration of a split MRB including a point to multipoint (PTM) link and a point to point (PTP) link, deactivates or activates the PTM link based on the MRB configuration, reestablishes a radio link control (RLC) associated with the PTM link and recovers a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP).

Abstract: Systems, methods, and circuitries are provided for supporting blind retransmission. In one example, a method includes processing control information that indicates resources for communication of a physical downlink shared channel or a physical uplink shared channel (PDSCH/PUSCH) transmission and timing information for a retransmission of the PDSCH/PUSCH. The method includes configuring operation to: receive the PDSCH/PUSCH transmission based on the resources; and determine that a subsequent PDSCH/PUSCH received at a subsequent time corresponds to the retransmission of the PDSCH/PUSCH when the subsequent time coincides with the indicated timing information for the retransmission and, in response combine the PDSCH/PUSCH with the retransmission in a HARQ buffer for decoding purposes.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may establish a connection with a network for transmission of a plurality of data bursts further comprising a plurality of data segments. The UE may transmit, to the network, a first data segment corresponding to a first quality of service flow identifier (QFI) associated with a first quality of service (QoS) flow and a second data segment corresponding to a second QFI associated with a second QoS flow. The UE may be configured to map one or more data segments to one or more QFIs based on at least one of a slice type, a frame type, a modulo operation, and a sequence number. Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for using integrated access and backhaul (IAB) nodes configured to provide multi-access edge computing (MEC) functionality. An IAB node may include a MEC functionality that includes an instance of an application configured for MEC. A UE using the application connects to the network through an access link with the IAB node and establishes a PDU session for traffic of the application with a core network (CN). The CN may determine that the traffic corresponds to the application, and that an instance of the application is present on the IAB node. Accordingly, the CN may instruct the IAB donor to instantiate a remote packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer and, in some cases, a remote service data application (SDAP) layer that are configured to route the traffic from the UE for the application to the instance of the application on the IAB node.
