摘要： Apparatuses, systems, and methods for refreshing a GUTI of a UE. The UE may receive a GUTI from an AMF as part of a registration process. After a timer has expired, the UE may receive a new GUTI from the AMF. The timer may be provided by the UE as a request for use by the AMF. Alternatively, the timer may be used by the UE and the UE may request the new GUTI upon expiry of the timer, e.g., using an existing message or a new message, as desired.

摘要： Systems and methods are disclosed herein for using integrated access and backhaul (IAB) nodes configured to provide multi-access edge computing (MEC) functionality. An IAB node may include a MEC functionality that includes an instance of an application configured for MEC. A UE using the application connects to the network through an access link with the IAB node and establishes a PDU session for traffic of the application with a core network (CN). The CN may determine that the traffic corresponds to the application, and that an instance of the application is present on the IAB node. Accordingly, the CN may instruct the IAB donor to instantiate a remote packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer and, in some cases, a remote service data application (SDAP) layer that are configured to route the traffic from the UE for the application to the instance of the application on the IAB node.

The UE transmits a request for a MA PDU session to the network, receives a message from the network indicating the request has been rejected, wherein the message further includes a status indication for reattempt requests to establish the MA PDU session, determines, when the UE moves into a new registration area of a PLMN, whether reattempt requests are allowed based on, at least, the status indication and transmits, when reattempt requests are allowed, a further request to establish the MA PDU session.

A mapping list is received that includes a mapping of a plurality of public land mobile networks (PLMNs) to corresponding S-NSSAI values. The mapping list is received from a home PLMN (HPLMN) of the UE over non-3rd generation partnership (non-3GPP) access, from a server, or from a Universal Mobile Telecommunications Service (UMTS) subscriber identity module (USIM) of the UE. An available PLMN is determined that is mapped to a preferred S-NSSAI value of the UE based on the mapping list. A connection is established with the available PLMN.

A UE may establish, while out of range of cellular service, a peer-to-peer communication session with a relay UE using a channel in an unlicensed frequency band. The UE may transmit, using the peer-to-peer communication session, an emergency notification to the relay UE. The emergency notification may include an approximate location of the UE. Further the UE may communicate with a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP), where the communications may be relayed between the UE and the PSAP by the relay UE. The approximate location of the UE may be based, at least in part, on a location of the relay UE and determining the approximate location of the UE may include performing a ranging procedure with the relay UE.
