摘要: A base station may restrict access by a user equipment (UE). The base station broadcasts access restrictions to one or more UE within a cell coverage area of the base station, wherein the access restrictions include one or more predetermined criteria that must be satisfied for a UE to be allowed to camp on the base station. The base station performs a random access channel (RACH) procedure to allow the UE to camp on the base station when the UE satisfies the one or more predetermined criteria.

摘要: Techniques are described for improving service continuity for Multicast and Broadcast Services (MBS) communications during handover. Techniques are included for supporting lossless handover and data forwarding during handover for peer-to-multiple (PTM) MBS transmission. Lossless handover may be achieved in part by the user equipment (UE) providing to the target base station an indication of the next packet of the MBS session to be received following an RRC reconfiguration message, and an indication of any MBS packets provided by the source base station prior to the RRC reconfiguration message that were not properly received by the UE. Data forwarding may be performed from the source base station to the target base station if the MBS session was not configured on the target base station prior to the handover. Data forwarding may be omitted if the MBS session was configured on the target base station prior to the handover.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for using integrated access and backhaul (IAB) nodes configured to provide multi-access edge computing (MEC) functionality. An IAB node may include a MEC functionality that includes an instance of an application configured for MEC. A UE using the application connects to the network through an access link with the IAB node and establishes a PDU session for traffic of the application with a core network (CN). The CN may determine that the traffic corresponds to the application, and that an instance of the application is present on the IAB node. Accordingly, the CN may instruct the IAB donor to instantiate a remote packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer and, in some cases, a remote service data application (SDAP) layer that are configured to route the traffic from the UE for the application to the instance of the application on the IAB node.

摘要: MBS key distribution includes processing group information associated with an MB session context received from an AF. At least a portion of the group information comprises a TMGI. A plurality of session join requests received from a plurality of UEs are processed. Each of the plurality of session join requests include the TMGE and are associated with the MB session context. A request associated with the MB session context for transmission to an MB-SMF is encoded. A response associated with the MB session context received from the MB-SMF is processed. The response includes a key derived for each of a portion of the plurality of UEs using a UE ID and the TMGI. A DL NAS message and an N2 message are encoded for the plurality of UEs and a base station, respectively. The DL NAS message and the N2 message include the derived key.

摘要: A device-to-device (D2D) communication application is stored in a memory of a first device, and has an application identifier (ApplicationID) configured to enable D2D communication between two or more devices in proximity. The first device is configured with a user identifier (UserID). A group associated with the D2D communication application can then be established, which includes the first device and one or more second devices, each having the D2D communication capability and an associated UserID, each of the devices exchanging their ApplicationID and UserID with other devices to establish the group. A role in the group is assigned to each device of the first device and one or more second devices, which defines functions for each device to establish the D2D communications. Based on the role of each device, a set of resources from the network are allocated to enable the D2D communication on the D2D communication channel.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for public land mobile network (PLMN) selection for disaster roaming. A user equipment (UE) determines a disaster condition at a first PLMN, where the UE is a subscriber of the first PLMN. The UE determines an availability of a second PLMN for disaster roaming. The UE selects the second PLMN and attempts registration on the second PLMN for disaster roaming. In response to attempting the registration on the second PLMN for disaster roaming, the UE receives a registration reject message including a cause value corresponding to a registration failure for disaster roaming on the second PLMN due to the disaster condition on the first PLMN. The UE waits for a first period of time before again attempting to register for disaster roaming on the second PLMN for the first PLMN with the disaster condition.

摘要: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for enhancement of MBMS transmission reliability. A UE may receive PDCP PDUs via a PTM link from a network. The UE may determine to provide feedback regarding receipt of the PDCP PDUs, e.g., based, at least in part, on an occurrence of a triggering event. The triggering event may be configured by the network and may include the UE receiving a request for feedback from the network, the UE determining that at least one PDCP PDU is missing, the UE determining that a number of missing PDCP PDUs exceeds a threshold, and/or the UE determining that a PDCP reordering window is changing based on expiration of a PDCP reordering timer. The UE may transmit feedback associated with receipt of the PDCP PDUs. The feedback may include an indication of missing PDCP PDUs, e.g., such as an indication of a sequence number associated with missing PDCP PDUs.

摘要: Some embodiments include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for public land mobile network (PLMN) selection for disaster roaming in a 5G wireless communications system. A user equipment (UE) can receive two or more messages that disaster roaming service is offered by two or more forbidden public land mobile networks (PLMNs) of a forbidden PLMN list of the UE. The UE can select a first forbidden PLMN of the two or more forbidden PLMNs, where the first forbidden PLMN corresponds to a highest priority PLMN of a preferred PLMN list of the UE, and establish communications, via the transceiver, with the first forbidden PLMN. Some embodiments include designating a forbidden PLMN as offering a disaster roaming PLMN for manual selection. Some embodiments include enabling a Closed Access Group (CAG)-capable UE to access disaster roaming services from a forbidden PLMN of a CAG-only cell or a 5G cell.
