Abstract:
A gate operator for opening and closing an exterior gate includes an elongate hollow housing for rigid vertical mounting relative to the ground. First and second spaced-apart hinge assemblies for securing to the gate are mounted within the housing for pivoting relative to the housing. A motor is mounted within the housing and is coupled to at least one of the first and second hinge assemblies for causing the at least one of the first and second hinge assemblies to pivot between first and second positions and thus cause the gate to pivot between opened and closed positions. A method for manufacturing the gate operator and a folded gate assembly utilizing the gate operator are provided.
Abstract:
A multi-component dye unit for use in a system to protect valuables. The unit comprises at least two reservoirs arranged in an external container or housing. The reservoirs are filled with different agents A and B, and connected to a spraying device capable of staining the contents of a secured container. The reservoirs are preferably made of flexible material and the contents thereof may be expelled by gas pressure in said external container. Advantageously, the external container may be made of two parts clippable together.
Abstract:
A mechanism for a window is provided including a mechanism case, a spindle inserted into the case, a screw mounting plate for mounting the mechanism to a surface by a pair of screws, the screw mounting plate having an aperture through which the spindle in the case freely passes, a cover plate having an aperture through which the spindle freely passes and sized to substantially cover the mechanism and screw mounting plate, and a retaining ring for fixed engagement with the aperture of the screw mounting plate. The retaining ring has an internal aperture through which the spindle passes and provides for the spindle to freely rotate within the internal aperture. The retaining ring is incapable of passing through the aperture in the cover plate. The retaining ring secures the cover plate to the screw mounting plate and the screw mounting plate secures the mechanism case to the surface.
Abstract:
A cable guide which has a simple structure and can be easily assembled is adapted to change the direction of the inner cable which slide and drive the slide door of a vehicle, and includes a pulley case 11 whose upper surface is opened, a pulley 12 housed in the pulley case and pivoted rotatably, and a case cover 13 to cover the upper surface of the pulley case. The pulley case has a fixing portion 15 of the outer casing which slidably houses an inner cable. The fixing portion has grooves of roughly U-shaped cross section. The inner perimeter of the groove has a case protrusion 15a. A cover protrusion 13e is formed in the case cover so as to face the case protrusion.
Abstract:
Housing for at least partially accommodating a furniture fitting, wherein the housing is designed such that it can be changed in length along a longitudinal axis (L) of the housing.
Abstract:
Double-hung window actuators exhibiting one or more of several beneficial features are disclosed. They can include bidirectional linear drive mechanisms sized to fit at least partially inside channels defined at least in part by the jamb runs of a movable sash. These drive mechanisms can be built around a right mounting support of adequate stiffness to support the mechanism independent of external support. Sash pin interfaces can interact with sash pins on the window. Actuation load sensors can detect changes in loading of the actuators, and an edge sensor can be electrically connected to the drive mechanisms. The actuators can be housed in a housing that includes a window apron for mounting below the window.
Abstract:
A header is provided for use with an automatic door that can form a door system including a door frame. A door operator is disposed in the interior of a header housing such that the operator is located above the door when the door is closed. A crank arm links the operator to the door such that the operator acts to open the door. In the disclosed embodiment, the housing has an inverted U-shaped configuration with a flange portion to affix a frame plate to define a frame head piece. A cover plate may be used to enclose the housing interior. In this embodiment, a sub-frame mounts on the cover plate, and the crank arm extends laterally through a slot in the sub-frame. The sub-frame can define a top strike for the door.
Abstract:
Window operating apparatus includes a housing portion, a support portion, a drive portion, a power supplying portion and a mounting portion. The housing portion includes a base section and a cover member disposed over the base section including a top section and sidewall sections extending downwardly from peripheral edges thereof engageable with the base section. The support portion includes opposed upwardly extending end sections. The drive portion which is supported between the end sections and secured thereto includes a gear train disposed adjacent the top section, the gear train including meshing gear members rotatable in a plane substantially parallel to the top section. An electrical motor affixed below one end of the gear train adjacent the base section includes an output shaft extending upwardly from the motor and engaging one of the gear members in the gear train. A second shaft member engages the other of the meshing gear members and extends downwardly from the gear train through an opening in the base section. A socket is disposed on the free end of the second shaft member outside the housing portion. The mounting portion includes a bracket member with a plate section disposed adjacent one of the upstanding end sections and affixed thereto extending outwardly through a slot in the base section and a foot at the end thereof.
