Abstract:
A latch assembly connected to the drive unit of a bi-fold door for retaining the bi-fold door secure to a building has elongated straps attached to rotatable latch drums mounted on the outer ends of the drive shaft of the drive unit. Lift drums powered by a motor driven gearbox raise and lower the bi-fold door. Latch assemblies having springs attached to the straps maintain tension on the straps during the opening and closing of the bi-fold door.
Abstract:
A balance system used with a door of a cupboard comprises a transmission shaft, a first pulley on the transmission shaft, and a balance component. The first pulley is connected to a door belt, one end of the door belt is secured to the first pulley, and the other end of the belt is connected to the door. The balance component comprises a balancing member, a balancing belt and a second pulley on the transmission shaft. One end of the balancing belt is connected to the second pulley, and the other end of the balancing belt is connected to the balancing member, such that the balancing member is hung on the second pulley. The first pulley and the second pulley rotate synchronously, and the door belt and the balancing belt are wound oppositely. With the balance system, a small driving force can open/close the door.
Abstract:
An articulated door system includes one or more door sections; a lifting block associated with a lower door section of the one or more door sections; a frame supporting the one or more door sections and engaging the lifting block; and a lead screw system including a rotatable lead screw that is configured to engage the lifting block and lift the lower door section up and down based on rotation of the lead screw.
Abstract:
A folding door with two or more intrinsically rigid folding shutter elements with alternating noncollapsing and collapsing element edges, with at least one guide means which can be raised and lowered on or in one or more guide rail(s), for moving a, in particular the lower, permanently guide rail-adjacent, noncollapsing door element edge, wherein at least one release movement means, which is provided for the initial release movement of the permanently guide rail-adjacent door element edge from the guide rail(s), at the beginning of the opening of the folding door, and for the final advance movement of the permanently guide rail-adjacent door element edge at the end of the closing of the folding door, and an actuation device and method for the same.
Abstract:
Composite bi-fold doors and other composite closures having improved assemblies are described, wherein the assemblies provide enhanced strength and durability of the doors and their construction while simultaneously maintaining their aesthetics. Additional improved bi-fold door and semi-solid door assemblies are also provided, which allow for the dimensional adjustment of the height of the doors by the installer as necessary, while simultaneously maintaining the structural integrity of the doors following the height adjustment.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an arrangement for moving a movable furniture part, in particular a furniture part which is mounted pivotably about an axis, comprising at least one ejection device for ejecting the movable furniture part from a closed position into an open position, the at least one ejection device comprising at least one force accumulator, and a loading device for loading the at least one force accumulator by means of an opening or closing movement of the movable furniture part, wherein at least one Bowden cable for transmitting force during the loading of the at least one force accumulator is arranged between the at least one ejection device and the loading device.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an actuating drive for moving a flap of a piece of furniture, comprising: at least one pivotably supported actuating arm for moving the flap, a spring device for applying a pivoting torque to the actuating arm in the opening direction, and an adjusting device having an adjusting screw, which has a thread, wherein the pivoting torque of the spring device acting on the actuating arm can be adjusted by means of a rotational motion of the adjusting screw, wherein the adjusting screw has a screw shaft, wherein a screw nut is supported in such a way that said nut can be moved along the screw shaft by means of a rotational motion of the adjusting screw, wherein the adjusting screw has a blocking device separate from the thread, which blocking device prevents an unintentional rotational motion of the adjusting screw.
Abstract:
A folding façade or folding awning arrangement includes at least two façade or awning elements, wherein a first façade or awning element is fixed on a building so that it can pivot about an axis, and wherein a second façade or awning element is pivotally held about a second displaceable axis and can be displaced along guides by means of a drive member, and wherein further a first collapsing edge of the first façade or awning element is pivotally connected to a second collapsing edge of the second façade and awning element to form a collapsing joint and can be moved in a manner released from the guides, collapsing transversely to the façade. The arrangement further includes at least one collapsible/fold-out and/or locking means. Safe operation is achieved in that at least one pivoting actuating element is provided in the form of a collapsing/fold-out, pulling/drawing, and/or locking means.
Abstract:
A dual hinged door assembly for a vehicle is provided, the assembly including an upper door portion and a lower door portion. The upper door portion, which may include a window, pivots about a primary axis formed by its juncture with a structural member in the roof. The lower door portion, which may include a window, pivots about a secondary axis formed by its juncture with the upper door portion. Primary and secondary drive systems may be used to provide independent powered motion of the upper and lower door portions. Each drive system may include a powered strut, e.g., a hydraulic strut, and a non-powered strut, e.g., a gas strut.
