Abstract:
A vehicle door comprises an outer door panel, an inner door panel formed with an aperture, a plastic mounting panel to which functional devices of the vehicle door are installed. The plastic mounting panel is installed to the inner door panel to close up the aperture. A door lock/unlock mechanism is attached to the inner door panel and a linking member is connected to the lock/unlock mechanism through which the lock/unlock mechanism is operated to lock and unlock the vehicle door. The linking member extends along an inner side of the plastic mounting panel, passes through a guide hole formed in the plastic mounting panel and extends along an exterior side of the plastic mounting panel. A cover member covers the lock/unlock mechanism and the part of the linking member on the exterior side of the plastic mounting panel to prevent unauthorized access.
Abstract:
A furniture unit having a dual slider mechanism with an outer carriage and an inner carriage. Both the outer carriage and the inner carriage may include stoppers at opposing ends. A bearing or wheel assembly is provided. The bearing or wheel assembly may be positioned between the side rails of the outer carriage and the inner carriage, and which allows the inner and outer carriages to freely slide. The sliding mechanism may be used with a furniture unit in order to allow a door to open in a first open position or a second closed position or remain in a closed center position. A locking mechanism may be used to lock the door to the frame of the furniture unit.
Abstract:
A reversible garage door track bracket (10) comprises a short flange (16) and a perpendicularly oriented long flange (18). The short flange (16) includes a slot (40) which has a wide portion (42) for receiving a jamb bolt (24), a narrow portion (44) for receiving a track bolt (26), and a plurality of holes (52) each for receiving one of a plurality of rivets (22). The long flange (18) is identical to the short flange (16), except in length. In use, an installer chooses which flange (16, 18) to secure to the track (12), by examining a garage door's thickness. The installer secures the bracket (10) to the track (12) using either the track bolt (26) or the plurality of rivets (22). If the installer desires a different mounting distance (90), the installer can simply remove the two bolts (24,26), reverse the bracket (10), and reinstall the two bolts (24,26).
Abstract:
A reinforcing support structure for an automotive vehicle body having a sheet structure (10) including a pair of side sheet structures (11, 12). Upper stiffener (17) and lower stiffener (18) are secured to the interior of side sheet structures (11,12). Stiffeners 17 and 18 may have a cross-sectional shape as illustrated by stiffener (39) in FIG. 6. Stiffener (39) includes a mounting flange (41) and an opposed flange (42) which have free edge portions. Beads or curls (44,46) are formed on the free edge portions for reinforcement.
Abstract:
Guide track assemblies for upward acting doors include identical vertical and horizontal linear track sections and a curvilinear transition track section. The linear track sections include spaced-apart elongated slots formed at acute angles with respect to the longitudinal extent of the track sections for cooperation with retainer members mounted on angle-shaped jamb brackets. A header bracket also includes one or more retainer members thereon for disposition in similar elongated slots formed in the curvilinear track section. The linear track sections fit in telescoping relationship within enlarged end portions of the curvilinear track section. The configurations of the header brackets, jamb brackets and track sections facilitate quick assembly and easy positional adjustment of the track sections with respect to a door opening covered by a door guided by the track assemblies.
Abstract:
A motor vehicle door includes structural parts for providing the rigidness of the vehicle door and includes a structural element and a lining element. The door further includes function components for providing vehicle door functions like a window panel with a regulator. At least one of the structural parts serves as a support of the function components. In order to reduce the number of individual components, at least one of the structural parts forms a completely shaped composite or sandwich part having a plastic based matrix and further having several of the function components included to serve a rigidness providing bodies. The bodies are molded into the plastic based matrix by the plastic based matrix.
Abstract:
The invention provides an elevator door sill assembly for use in elevator systems that have sliding doors. The door sill assembly comprises a sill plate, a support sill located below the sill plate having a rail that presents an inboard sliding surface and an outboard sliding surface. The assembly also comprises a first guiding surface that engages that inboard sliding surface and a second guiding surface that engages the outboard sliding surface. The assembly prevents that bottom of the elevator door from swinging while the door slides opened and closed. The sill assembly and guide system may be used with either hoistway doors or elevator car doors.
Abstract:
A guide track for the window of a vehicle door can be adjusted vertically to adjust the location of a window stop on the upper end of the track to ensure a water-tight fit of the window upper edge and a weather-strip carried by the vehicle roof structure. Adjustment of the stop involves vertical movement of the track, up or down, preferably by loosening and tightening a track clamping-structure located at the lower end of the track. Access to the track clamping structure can be had through a small access opening formed in a trim panel on the interior surface of the door. Track adjustment can be achieved without removing the trim panel from the door. In preferred practice of the invention, the track clamping structure includes a threaded rod disposed between the track and a window support panel to swing the lower end of the track for changing the movement path of the window.
Abstract:
An operator for opening and closing movable barriers such as garage doors comprising a pass-point limit system which is a component of an operating head. An operator for a rolling shutter or gate can be installed on either side of the opening. A dual pass-point system provides a unique pass-point regardless of direction of mounting the operator, regardless of the direction of travel for opening the barrier, and regardless of installation configuration, eliminating the need for the installer to know which direction the motor is rotating or the barrier is travelling. The operator automatically learns both the open and close limits, regardless of direction of travel and without having to press a learn switch to set the open and close limits
Abstract:
In a mounting structure for a center rail, a recess extending horizontally along the lower edge of a window opening of a lateral face of a vehicle body is formed, and the center rail is disposed in the recess to guide a slide door. The center rail is divided in the vertical direction and thus composed of an upper rail member and a lower rail member. The upper rail member is securely fitted to an upper part of the recess and covered with an opaque elongation of the lower edge of a window glass. After mounting the slide door to the lateral face of the vehicle body and painting the vehicle body, the lower rail member painted in a color different from that of the vehicle body is mounted so as to cover a lower part of the recess.
