    Abstract: Serving cell measurements at a reduced capability UE in idle mode in FRI includes identifying an eDRX cycle length associated with the reduced capability UE is longer than or equal to 20.48 s and shorter than or equal to 10, 485.76 s. The eDRX cycle length includes a DRX cycle length. A measurement period associated with a serving cell of the reduced capability UE is determined to occur within a single PTW of the eDRX cycle. The measurement period includes measurement samples to be performed within the single PTW. A length of the single PTW is determined based on a product of the DRX cycle length and a sample scaling factor associated with the measurement samples. The length of the single PTW comprises a multiple of 1.28. Serving cell measurements are performed during the single PTW. The serving cell measurements include each of the measurement samples associated with the measurement period.

    Abstract: Aspects herein relate to wireless devices, circuits, and methods for indicating, by a wireless device, to a wireless station, an ability to support semi-persistent (SP) measurement gap (MG) configuration; receiving, from the wireless station, a SP MG configuration; receiving, from the wireless station, a message to activate the SP MG configuration; performing, in response to receiving the message to activate the SP MG configuration, a target carrier frequency measurement, wherein the target carrier frequency measurement is performed in accordance with the activated SP MG configuration; receiving from the wireless station, a message to deactivate the SP MG configuration; and discontinuing, in response to receiving the message to deactivate the SP MG configuration, the performance of the target carrier frequency measurement. In other aspects, the wireless device may indicate, to the wireless station, an ability to support aperiodic (AP) MG configuration, which does not require explicit deactivation by the wireless station.

    Abstract: Some embodiments include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for enhanced Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ)-ACK in a fifth generation (5G) wireless communications system. A user equipment (UE) can receive, during a HARQ-ACK window, a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) transmission or a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) transmission corresponding to a SPS PDSCH release. The UE can generate a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ)-ACK information bit corresponding to the reception. The UE can be configured with an offset value, k, and a length, l, of the HARQ-ACK window associated with an uplink transmission slot n, of a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) transmission, and determine a starting slot of the HARQ-ACK window as n-k. When a corresponding valid uplink transmission slot is not available, the UE can transmit the HARQ-ACK information bit in the uplink transmission slot n of the PUCCH transmission.
