Abstract:
A data recording unit in use with a camera for recording information data, obtained through a GPS receiver, on a photographing film. The data recording unit includes: a selector for selecting a geodetic system from plural geodetic systems; a data converter for converting position information data, obtained through the GPS receiver, to converted position information data in the geodetic system which is selected by the selector; and a printing LED for recording the converted position information data on the photographic film together with images photographed by the camera.
Abstract:
A hard multilayer film structure comprises a titanium-containing compound layer possessing high wear resistance deposited on a substrate and a silicon-containing hard carbon layer possessing self-lubricating properties, high wear resistance and high resistance to heat. Deposition of these layers is effected by the plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition technique. As a raw gas for the deposition of silicon-containing hard carbon layer, the gas containing tetramethyl silane or tetraethyl silane is used. Deposition of the silicon-containing hard carbon layer is carried out at a temperature of not more than 550.degree. C. and a pressure in the range of 0.05 to 0.5 Torr.
Abstract:
A transmucosal therapeutic composition comprising a physiologically active peptide or protein and a cytidine nucleotide derivative is described. The above composition results in a satisfactory transmucosal absorption of physiologically active peptides or proteins which are otherwise hardly absorbed from the mucosa. Since it allows self-administration to the mucosa, such as the nasal, vaginal or digestive tract mucosa, in lieu of injection which causes pain, the invention is of great utility as a pharmaceutical dosage form for physiologically active peptides or proteins which must be administered over a protracted time.
Abstract:
A method for operating a filtration apparatus for flue gas, which removes dust from flue gas discharged from a burner using mainly solid fuel, wherein incombustible powder is introduced into the filtration apparatus upon detecting or foreseeing coming of unburnt combustible dust from the burner, or upon detecting or foreseeing a temperature rise of the flue gas, and the incombustible powder is suspended in the dust-containing flue gas to suppress combustion of the combustible dust, or to suppress the temperature rise of the flue gas, in the filtration apparatus.
Abstract:
A heat exchange apparatus is composed of a plurality of tube banks arranged in rows each comprising a plurality of tubes arranged in a direction normal to a gas flow in a gas passage duct and in the heat exchanger, an interval of a space between mutually adjoining tube banks in the gas flow direction is less than eight times of a depth of a tube group disposed on an upstream side with respect to the gas flow and baffle plates are disposed in the respective tube banks for preventing a multibank tubing compound resonance. Each of the baffle plates disposed in an upstream side tube bank has an extension extending from a center of a most downstream side tube in the upstream side tube bank and having a length more than two times of a tube pitch in the gas flow direction, and each of the baffle plates disposed in a downstream side tube bank has an extension extending from a center of a most upstream side tube in the downstream side tube bank and having a length more than two times of a tube pitch in the gas flow direction.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a core-shell polymer which is useful for polyoxymethylene resin, a polyoxymethylene resin composition containing the core-shell polymer and a molded article made of the polyoxymethylene resin composition. The core-shell polymer comprises a rubbery polymer core and a glassy polymer shell and has substanially no detectable anion. This core-shell polymer makes the molded articles be improved on the impact strength, elongation at the weld line, etc. The molded articles is used as various products (such as gears, reels, etc.).
Abstract:
An improved semiconductor memory having a plurality of sense amplifier circuits corresponding to each bit line of a plurality of columns. A first common line is connected in common to the sense amplifier circuits, and a second common line is connected to the first common line. A first switching element is connected between the second common line and a reference voltage potential terminal, and a second switching element is connected to the first common line and the reference voltage potential. The second switching element corresponding to the first common line connected to one of the sense amplifier circuits is made conductive in response to a selection of the sense amplifier is disclosed.
Abstract:
An enrichment device for a charge forming system for an internal combustion engine that is responsive to induction system pressure for effecting a pumping action to draw fluid in when the engine is operating in a steady state condition and to discharge fluid for enrichment when the engine is being accelerated. The system includes a series of interrelated pressure sensing chambers for controlling the operation of the pump to avoid fluctuations during small variations in induction system pressure but to permit rapid and immediate pumping action upon sudden pressure changes.
