In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives a positioning reference signal (PRS) configuration indicating one or more PRS resources transmitted on one or more antenna ports of at least one antenna panel of a base station, measures the one or more PRS resources over a set of angles, wherein the UE is configured to search for the one or more PRS resources over the set of angles based on the PRS configuration, and determines an angle of the set of angles over which at least one PRS resource of the one or more PRS resources was measured as a downlink angle-of-departure (DL-AoD) between the base station and the UE.

Abstract: Disclosed are various techniques for wireless communication. In some aspects, a method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes determining a positioning reference signal (PRS) to random access channel (RACH) occasion (RO) mapping that defines specific ROs during which the UE should at least transmit a RACH sequence based on specific PRS measurements. The method also includes performing at least one PRS measurement. The method also includes transmitting a RACH sequence on at least one RO according to the PRS to RO mapping and based on the specific PRS measurement. The method optionally includes reporting a result of the PRS measurement to the base station according to the PRS to RO mapping based on the PRS measurements.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving an uplink grant from a network device. The method also includes determining, by a lower analog media access control (MAC-A) layer of an analog data communications stack, a quantity of analog neural network gradients to transmit in a data packet using resources allocated by the uplink grant. The determining is based on an analog physical (PHY-A) layer encoding scheme and the resources allocated by the uplink grant. The method further includes segmenting the analog neural network gradients into the data packet. The method still further includes transferring the data packet to the PHY-A layer for transmission to the network device across a wireless network.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) receives scheduling information for Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) for positioning that includes multiple reserved occasions to transmit the SRS. The multiple reserved occasions may be used on all or on only a subset of configured SRS resources. The UE transmits the positioning SRS on a reserved occasion that is first available for transmission, e.g., without collision or other restrictions of transmission of the SRS. The UE does not transmit the positioning SRS on any earlier reserved occasions that is not available or any subsequent reserved occasions. The base station may attempt to decode the SRS on each reserved occasion until the positioning SRS is transmitted. The base station may reassign unused reserved occasions to other UEs or to other channels. The base station may report positioning measurements with associated time stamps for the reserved occasion on which the positioning SRS was received.

Abstract: Positioning of one or more user equipments (UEs) is performed using broadcast common sounding reference signals (SRS) resources for positioning. The common SRS that is broadcast by a UE is received and measured by one or more base stations and one or more other UEs. The other UEs may have known positions and may server as anchor nodes for positioning. The other UEs may have known positions and may serve as a positioning (anchor) node or may have unknown positions and may be jointly positioned with the target UE. During joint positioning, each of the other UEs may similarly broadcast a common set of SRS that is received and measured by the base stations and other UEs for positioning. An angular measurement of the SRS broadcast by one or more UEs may be measured and used to resolve mirror symmetry in positioning solutions.
