摘要: A channel unit has an ink ejection surface that includes nozzles, another surface, a common ink chamber, pressure chambers, and individual ink channels each fluidly connecting the common ink chamber with one nozzle via a corresponding pressure chamber. An actuator unit is fixed to the another surface. The actuator unit is deformable to selectively change the volumes of the plurality of pressure chambers. A reservoir unit has a first surface fixed to the another surface, a second surface extending in parallel with the ink ejection surface, and an ink reservoir. The actuator unit is interposed between the channel unit and the reservoir unit. A base plate has a flat planar surface. A fixing portion fixes the base plate to the reservoir unit at at least one position, allowing the flat planar surface of the base plate to be in close contact with the second surface of the reservoir unit.

摘要: An image recording apparatus includes liquid ejection heads, wipers, and a movement means. The liquid ejection heads respectively have ejection faces, and are arranged in such a manner that the ejection faces form two rows extending in one direction and in addition two of the ejection faces included in different rows do not overlap each other along a direction perpendicular to the one direction. The liquid ejection heads are divided into one or more head groups each including two of the liquid ejection heads corresponding to the different rows. The movement means moves two of the wipers associated with two liquid ejection heads belonging to each head group, from inner end portions of the ejection faces in opposite directions along the perpendicular direction while keeping the two wipers in contact with the ejection faces.

摘要: A layered structure has a first metal plate having a first hole, a second metal plate having a second hole designed to communicate with the first hole, and a filter plate at least a surface of which is made of a metal. The filter plate is sandwiched between the first and second metal plates so that the first hole and the second hole communicate with each other through the filter. The first and second metal plates are bonded to each other by means of an adhesive that is disposed between the first and second metal plates. The adhesive is not opposed to the filter plate.

摘要: When all metal plates for forming a passage unit of an ink jet head are bonded together by metal bonding, a top metal plate will warp, and an actuator unit cannot be fitted in a uniform manner to this warped top metal plate, and if the actuator units are not fitted in a uniform manner to the top metal plate, a uniform amount of ink cannot be discharged from nozzles of the ink jet head. To deal with this, metal diffusion bonding of the metal plates is performed without the top metal plate being included therein, and the top metal plate is then caused to adhere by means of adhesive. There is thus no warping of the top metal plate, and consequently the actuator units can be fitted in a uniform manner to the top metal plate.

摘要: An ink-jet head comprises a passage unit with an ink passage formed therein and a branching passage unit, and is constructed by laminating the passage unit and the branching passage unit with each other. The ink passage extends from a common ink chamber for supplying ink to a pressure chamber toward a nozzle. The branching passage unit includes an ink branching passage for branching ink from an ink introduction port to ink outlet ports. The outlet ports leads out ink into the passage unit. Inlet ports for introducing ink into the common ink chamber are formed on a surface of the passage unit. Ink outlet ports in the branching passage unit are disposed so as to face the inlet ports. Filters for removing foreign matters mixed in ink are formed in the ink branching passage within the branching passage unit.

摘要: A stencil stamp assembly having a comparatively small size, high ink holding capacity, excellent stamping durability and is capable of stamping images having a high print quality. The stencil stamp includes a handgrip and a stencil stamp assembly. The stencil stamp assembly includes an ink bearing member covered with a thermal stencil sheet. The thermal stencil sheet has a plurality of pores on holes arranged in a pattern. During a stamping action, ink from the ink bearing member is forced through the pores in the stencil sheet and onto a recording sheet to form a stamped image on the recording sheet. The ink bearing member has at least two layers having different densities. The less dense layer is in contact with the thermal stencil sheet. The least dense layer provides a large ink storage capacity. The more dense layer has a higher ink holding capacity, which reduces the potential for ink leakage. The more dense layer is also more firm, which reduces creasing and distortion of the stencil sheet both during stamping and during formation of the pore pattern in the stencil sheet.
