摘要： An adjustable tensioning arrangement for modular security door systems has modular components interchangeable for use on either side of the door system, thereby reducing significantly the number of parts which must be manufactured for the door. The adjustable tensioning arrangement is capable of accommodating a variety of tensions desired by individual users. The adjustable tensioning arrangement may be produced with a minimal number of required parts, and at very low cost. Construction of the adjustable tensioning arrangement may incorporate readily fabricated steel components, or utilize injection molded or other plastic type materials.

摘要： An elongated reelable shade, first and second spaced support brackets removably connected to first and second and opposite ends of the elongated reelable shade for supporting the reelable shade from a fixed support, an electrical drive motor having an output shaft for rotating the elongated reelable shade around its axis to selectively reel and unreel the shade, an electrical circuit for energizing and operating the motor, the electrical circuit including a controller coupled to and controlling the operation of the drive motor, a single shade limit switch for stopping the motor when the shade reaches a fully reeled or fully extended position, and a coupler for removably coupling the output shaft of the motor to the first end of the elongated reelable shade, a single housing having the first bracket fixed thereto, the single housing containing and supporting the motor, the electrical circuit and the coupler, the coupler comprising an output driver which removably receives the first end of the shade with rotatable driving relationship.

摘要： A roller blind drive comprising a roller blind member running along an oblique area to be shaded and a motor-driven and rotatably mounted winding shaft onto and from which the roller blind member may be wound and unwound. The winding shaft is mounted in a sliding manner at each end in respective guide tracks, which in the assembled state extend obliquely downward. The displacement of the winding shaft due to gravity in a downward direction is limited by a guide shoe element arrangement, the roller blind member unwound from the winding shaft being guided along such guide shoe element arrangement toward the oblique area. Owing to the gravity-related displacement of the winding shaft same will at all times have the respectively wound up coil of the roller blind member in engagement with the said guide shoe element arrangement so that during unwinding the roller blind member will be unwound along such guide shoe element arrangement and thrust outward, high thrusts being able to be produced, which render possible extremely small angles of slope of down to essentially 5.degree.. The roller blind drive is consequently particularly well suited for shading purposes FIG. 1.

摘要： A method of automatically assigning device addresses to devices communicating over a common data bus. Each of the devices may, for example, control an electrically operable system such as a panel assembly that can be disposed over a window opening to control the transmission of light, heat or air through the window and/or for producing different decorative scenes within a room. The method includes sending out a first, trial device address and waiting for an acknowledgement from all of the other devices connected to the data bus to determine whether another device acknowledges that first trial device address as its own. If an acknowledgement is received from any other device, a subsequent, different, trial address is transmitted over the data bus and further waiting ensues to check whether the second trial address has been previously assigned. This process is repeated until the device finds a previously unassigned device address which it then assigns to itself.

摘要： A roll-up or curtain type door is disclosed which is for use in large doorways, the door having an improved support apparatus, an improved spring mounting mechanism, and a unique bearing block which also functions to support the door as it is rolled up. The roll-up door has a substantially stronger hollow hexagonal barrel assembly which is less susceptible to flexural stress, and a spring mounting arrangement which allows the springs to shrink or grow longitudinally as the door is rolled up or down. The barrel assembly is mounted on pivoting support means allowing the barrel assembly to move away from and toward the guide tracks as the door is rolled up and down, whereby the variation in diameter of the barrel assembly does not affect the performance of the door. Interlocking bearing blocks are mounted on the outside side edges of the roll-up door to provide support as the door is rolled onto the barrel assembly and also to provide an edge seal to prevent air from flowing around the edges of the door when it is in its lowered position. A novel seam configuration for releasably joining adjacent panels of the roll-up door is also disclosed.

摘要： An exterior roll-up shutter consists of positioning strips that can be mounted on an outside wall on or next to the reveals and of a housing that rests against the strips. The housing is constituted of side walls, a floor, a rear and front wall, and a ceiling. The housing accommodates the shaft and panels of the shutter itself. It has a shutter exit extending along its floor in alignment with guide channels in the positioning strips. The shutter also consists of the paneled shutter itself, which is accommodated in the housing. To facilitate both installation of an exterior roll-up shutter of the same overall type and replacement of the paneled shutter itself, each positioning strip, which consists of a length of section with a shutter offset that is accessible from inside the window aperture, has an accommodation that extends along the whole strip. The accommodation is accessible from the weather side. An auxiliary assembly structure associated with one of the side walls of the housing permanently extends into it at a right angle to the strip. It can be used to lift the housing over the positioning strip until the shutter exit in the floor of the housing is in alignment with the guide channels in the positioning strips, while allowing the housing to be freely maneuvered at its installation level at the window.
