    Abstract: A motorized window treatment may include a roller tube, a flexible material, a motor drive unit, and mounting brackets. The roller tube may be configured to rotate about a longitudinal axis that defines a longitudinal direction to operate the flexible material between a raised position and a lowered position. The motor drive unit may include a housing that defines a cavity that receives a motor and one or more batteries for powering the motor drive unit. The motor drive unit may include a printed circuit board to which a control circuit is mounted. The control circuit may comprise a switch. The motor drive unit may comprise an actuation member configured to transfer a first force applied in a first direction at an end portion of the motor drive unit to a second force in a second direction within the cavity of the housing to actuate the switch.

    Abstract: A gearbox that is configured to transmit torque from a motor shaft to a load shaft includes a limit mechanism The limit mechanism includes a strain wave gear including a circular spline, a flex spline and a wave generator. The circular spline is fixed to a housing of the gearbox coaxially with the load shaft, the flex spline is formed on a flexible rim of a rotatable cup that is coaxial with the load shaft, and the wave generator is coupled to the load shaft so as to rotate at the same angular velocity. The limit mechanism further includes at least one limiter structure coupled to the rotatable cup and at least one fixed switch, and is configured to stop rotation of the load shaft when the limiter structure engages the fixed switch.

    Abstract: Powered safety curtains are disclosed herein. An example barrier includes a motorized drive unit, and a curtain. The curtain includes a leading edge. The leading edge of the curtain is selectively moveable to a closed position and to an open position. The example barrier also includes a guide plate carried by the curtain and extending into a track and a nonferrous guide member attached to the guide plate. The example barrier also includes a first safety device including a first wireless portion and a first electrical portion. The first wireless portion is attached to the nonferrous guide member. The first electrical portion is in a first activated state when the first wireless portion is in proximity with the first electrical portion. The first wireless portion is in a first deactivated state when the first wireless portion is remote relative to the first electrical portion.

    Abstract: Powered safety curtains are disclosed. An example barrier for an opening includes a motorized drive unit, and a curtain. The example barrier also includes a track disposed along the lateral edge of the curtain, a guide plate carried by the curtain and extending into the track and a nonferrous guide member attached to the guide plate. The example barrier also includes a first safety device comprising a first wireless portion attached to the nonferrous guide member and a first electrical portion mounted relative to the track. The first electrical portion is in the first activated state when the first wireless portion is in proximity with the first electrical portion as a result of the leading edge of the curtain being at the closed position.     Abstract: A power-driven window shade mainly utilizes a controlling device connected to an alarm which includes a power storage respectively connected to a power device and a processing unit of the controlling device, and a detector connected to the power device. If a sudden interruption of electricity supply occurs while the window shade is still running, the detector would generate a warning signal reaction to any abnormal electrical variation and transmit it to the processing unit. Whereby, the processing unit helps a counter save its counting value via the electricity pre-stored in the power storage, and by following the previous saved counting value, the counter is able to continue its counting after resuming the electricity supply. Thus, the present invention preferably prevents from the conventional potential rolling error as well as inconvenient resetting due to an unexpected shutdown of electricity supply.
