Abstract:
Reflected image light obtained by illuminating a reading portion to be read on a given objective image plane is sent to an image sensor located on the rear side through a reflecting member disposed substantially just above the reading portion. By forming a viewing path inclined forward against, or forward with respect to a vertical plane, the image sensor so as to permit the reading portion to be observed easily, the desired image light reflected from the reading portion is little interfered with by external light entering inside the scanner through the viewing path, thereby to enjoy image processing of high quality.
Abstract:
An image pickup printing device wherein images such as characters or diagrams written on a board or the like are made incident through a lens, the incidental images are monitored by a view-finder, the thus-monitored images are converted into the information by a one-dimensional image sensor, and the images are printed out by a printer based on informations obtained by the one-dimensional image sensor.
Abstract:
An electronic copying machine comprises an optical image forming system for forming an optical image of a remote surface on an image plane, and an image sensor disposed in the image plane and transversely movable in the image plane for scanning the optical image and converting the image into image signals. A scanning area defining device defines the height of the image sensor so as to scan the image plane according to the height of the remote surface. An image printing unit including a printing head is driven according to the image signals for printing an image on paper.
Abstract:
An electronic copying machine has an image line sensor whose charge storage time is controlled individually for each line of the image such that the charge storage time for the next line is determined according to the average detected brightness of the line immediately preceding that next line, based on the image signals thereof.
Abstract:
A picture reading apparatus is disclosed which comprises a camera which converts a picture to be read to an electric signal, a supporting member for supporting the camera movably, and a voice input unit. A control device serves to minimize the output from the voice input unit during movement of the supporting member. Thus while a mechanism for moving the camera is in operation, the output from the voice input unit is minimized to suppress the output of operational noise. Video output is inhibited during camera movement.
Abstract:
In an information filing apparatus, a portion of an image read by a scanner is immediately displayed on a display screen, even though the display screen is smaller than the entire image to be read. When the display image corresponding to the image portion which has just been read by the scanner reaches a predetermined location of the display screen, the display image is scrolled in synchronism with an image reading operation of the scanner. The image portion which has just been read by the scanner is then displayed on the predetermined location of the display screen.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus comprising:a mounting plate of an image to be read; a supporting device coupled with the mounting plate; a converter, supported by the supporting device, for converting the image to an electric signal; and a monitor display unit, supported by the supporting device, for displaying on the basis of the electric signal.
Abstract:
An electronic imaging copier is provided for making enhanced photographic copies of reflection print and transparency types of photographs. An optical image of an original print or transparency is scanned twice to provide first and second sets of image signals representative of low and higher resolution versions of the image. At least a portion of the low resolution first set of signals is employed to provide a preview display of the image. The first and second sets of signals are processed to provide a third set of signals representative of an enhanced version of the image which is projected onto a film unit to provide the photographic copy.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a magnification device for use by blind and/or low vision individuals. The device includes an X-Y table upon which an item to be magnified can be placed. A stationary camera arm and a pivotal monitor arm are oriented over the X-Y table. The monitor arm includes a video monitor pivotally mounted at its distal end. The camera arm also includes two laterally disposed lighting arms. A series of controls are provided along a lower edge of the monitor via a mounting bracket.
Abstract:
A tablet computer with an integrated document scanner that is adapted to transport paper documents through a scanning pathway in the tablet body and to scan said documents. Scanned documents may be saved to internal tablet memory for subsequent access. A stylus that permits a user to write or highlight on scanned documents in different selectable colors may also be associated with a scanning tablet.
