摘要： A training utensil for promoting proper use thereof by children includes an elongate handle having a predetermined length along its axis and a triangular cross-section in the form of an isosceles triangle having a larger base and two smaller equal sides. The smaller sides form substantially equal angles θ and an opposing angle γ=180°-2θ at an apex opposite the base where θ is selected to be within the range of 5°-55°. A head portion extends from one end of the handle along the axis for engaging food items. A transition portion at an end of the handle transitions from the triangular cross-section to a substantially flat cross-section overhang generally co-extensive with the base to cover a proximate end of the head portion. Color coded marker and handle surfaces guide a user to the positions of the fingers gripping the handle.

Such a utensil will not only be more resilient for the consumer, but the reduced material usage in the construction of the utensil will enable the producers to save money in material costs.

摘要： The present invention relates to a safe knife sheath comprising a sheath body and a movable blade support, wherein the blade support is mounted inside the sheath body movable in a sliding motion. The front part of the sheath body has a push button. A positioning element is connected to the lower part of the push button. A positioning groove corresponding to the positioning element is disposed in the lower part of the blade support. A positioning channel is disposed inside the sheath body on the top. A positioning lobe corresponding to the positioning channel is disposed on the top of the blade support. A first reset spring is connected to the top of the push button at one end, and the other end of which is fixed in the upper end of the sheath body. A trapezoidal piece is disposed in the back of the blade support. A second reset spring is disposed on the lower side of the trapezoidal piece. One end of the second reset spring is fixed in the lower end of the sheath body and the other end is fixed on the inner side of the sheath body. The present invention has the advantages of being safe, reliable, easy to carry and convenient to use, and capable of being cleaned at any time and avoiding rusting of the knife and thus extending its service life.

摘要： A process for making a combination food utensil constructed of materials having different relative hardness, particularly a spoon. Portions of the utensil are constructed of a hard material such as polyproplylene to provide structural rigidity and to allow the utensil to easily slide along the bottom of a dish such as a bowl or a plane. Outside edges of the utensil and portions of its handle are constructed of a softer material such as Kraton or silicone to provide for comfortable contact with the inside of the mouth and gums. In the preferred embodiment the spoon is provided for use by a baby.

摘要： An architectural millwork jig for the cutting of at least one cope in a strip of architectural millwork such as crown molding. The jig includes a base for stabilizing the millwork and further includes a table with a through opening positionable over the end face to be cut. A powered jig saw rides on the table about the opening, where the powered jig saw includes a foot for riding on the table and a blade reciprocating between two toes of the foot, and where the blade makes the cut in the end face of the millwork. The table is swingable about at least the x and y axes so as to provide a proper alignment for the surface of the table on which the foot of the powered jig saw rides. Swinging of the table about one axis permits one jig to be used for right hand and left hand copes and further permits the table to be adjusted to the exact angle of the right hand cope or to the exact angle of the left hand cope. Swinging about this one axis further permits the table to be swung into position to cope flat miters. Swinging of the table about another axis permits the table to be aligned relative to the slope of the bevel. A method of cutting into the end piece of the millwork is also disclosed.

摘要： A piece of cutlery which is designed to assist people such as children who are unfamiliar with cutlery, how to use it effectively and correctly. The piece of cutlery has a recess in the upper surface of the handle in the region where the handle and operative portion, e.g. the knife blade or fork prongs, of the piece of cutlery join. This recess is centered on the longitudinal center line of the piece of cutlery and is of a size to accommodate and locate the tip of the user's index finger in the effective and correct position for the user of the piece of cutlery. Also it is of sufficient depth to prevent accidental displacement of the tip of the finger during normal usage of the piece of cutlery. Preferably, the handle is S-shaped when viewed from the left-hand side so that it fits snugly in the palm of a child's hand with the tip of the index finger positioned in the recess.
