Abstract: A vehicle braking arrangement includes a braking plate and a link arm arranged to connect the braking plate to a vehicle. The braking plate is movable from a rest position to a braking position where contact is made with the ground. The braking plate is arranged for a first mode of operation, corresponding to the rest position, and a second mode of operation, corresponding to the braking position. In the first mode of operation, the braking plate has a first contact area arranged to face the ground, and in the second mode of operation, the braking plate has a second contact area arranged to face the ground. The second area exceeds the first area.

Abstract: A seat belt retractor includes a belt shaft pivot-mounted in a retractor frame, wherein the belt shaft shows an at least two-part design with a first and a second part. A load limiting device includes at least two parts, which can be moved relative to each other and have teeth, with which they alternately engage and disengage. Each of the parts of the load limiting device is allocated to a different part of the belt shaft. A tensioning device is located on the second part of the belt shaft and, upon activation, abruptly drives the belt shaft in the winding direction. One of the parts of the load limiting device, via a transmission device, is connected in a rotationally-fixed manner to the second part of the belt shaft through the first part, which is a hollow shaft.

Abstract: An airbag device for restraining an occupant even during an oblique collision and suppressing head injury values. An airbag device 100 includes: a passenger bag 112 which deploys on a front side of a passenger seat 104; a center bag 114 which deploys on an inner side in a vehicle width direction; a slit 128 which separates the passenger bag 112 and the center bag 114 from each other on a vehicle rearward side; and a tether belt 122 which which is connected to a first connecting part 124 on the center bag 114 and a second connecting part 126 on the passenger bag 112. The tether belt 122 is tensioned as the passenger bag 112 and the center bag 114 expand and deploy, and the center bag 114 restrains a side of the occupant head E1a while being supported by the tether belt 122.

The arrangement incorporates a third portion in which the tether passes between two adjacent yarns of the air-bag from one side to another side of the air-bag and partly around at least two adjacent yarns on one side of the air-bag.

Abstract: An airbag cushion is manufactured with a rear fabric panel and two front fabric panels. Each front fabric panel has a projecting tether portion to be sewn to an inner face of the rear fabric panel. The front fabric panels are, firstly, superimposed on each other. A back first end of the projecting tether portion is sewn to a part of a periphery of the front fabric panel, to form a second stitch portion in a recessed shape. A front second end of the tether portion is then sewn to the inner face of the rear fabric panel. A periphery of the rear fabric panel is, in addition, sewn to a periphery of the front fabric panel corresponding to the periphery of the rear fabric panel, to form a third stitch portion.
