    摘要： The invention describes a holding device (12) for holding and releasing a tensioning means (14) of a vehicle safety system, e.g., an airbag tether. The holding device (12) includes a pyrotechnical actuator assembly (24) for holding and, in terms of signals, specifically releasing the tensioning means (14), wherein the actuator assembly (24) comprises a plastic base (26) in which a pyrotechnical unit (28) including a propelling charge and an igniter (30) is accommodated, wherein the pyrotechnical unit (28) has a rear side (36) and a front side (38). The holding device (12) has a tensioning means holder (40) which is directly adjacent at least to the front side (38) of the pyrotechnical unit (28), covers the same and is detachably supported on the plastic base (26) so that the tensioning means holder (40) detaches as a unit completely from the plastic base (26). The plastic material forming the plastic base (26) is injection-molded around the tensioning means holder (40) in the area of its longitudinal end associated with the pyrotechnical unit (28), and an area which is not injection-molded constitutes a holding portion (48) for the tensioning means (14). In addition, an airbag module (10) comprising a holding device (12) is described.

    摘要： Airbag assemblies and venting assemblies are disclosed. An airbag assembly includes an airbag cushion and a venting assembly including a vent, one or more shear tethers, and a peel tether. The shear tether(s) are configured to be drawn to a taut state by expansion of the airbag cushion to configure the vent in a first venting state. The shear tether(s) are releasably coupled to the peel tether. The releasable coupling is configured to keep the shear tether(s) releasably coupled to the peel tether. The peel tether is configured to transition from a slack state to a taut state as the airbag cushion continues to expand. When drawn taut, the peel tether produces a peel force transverse to the shear force. The peel force causes the releasable coupling to release and the peel tether to uncouple from the shear tether(s), to transition the vent to a second state.

The deployment restrictor (100) includes a deflector panel (102) secured to the air bag module (30) and having a portion that is positioned between the packaged air bag (14) and the windshield. The deflector panel (102) at least partially covers the packaged air bag (14) so that the deflector panel moves with the deploying air bag toward the windshield. The connection of the deflector panel (102) to the air bag module (30) limits movement of the deflector panel toward the windshield and thereby redirects the air bag to deploy away from where it would otherwise impact the windshield.
