摘要: A method of producing flexible polypropylene fabric bags with heat fused seams comprising providing fabric pieces, wherein each fabric piece has a coated side and an uncoated side; positioning fabric pieces so that a coated side of one fabric piece faces a coated side of another fabric piece; selecting an area of fabric to be joined for forming a seam or joint; applying heat to the area to be joined that is less than the melting point of the fabrics, for forming one or more seams or joints and wherein the heat fused seams or joints of a resulting polypropylene bag retains at least 85% of the fabric strength without using sewing machines.

摘要: A safety device for use in a vehicle includes an air-bag inflatable by a gas source. At least part of the air-bag is woven and includes a plurality of generally parallel woven yarns. An elongate tether is attached to the air-bag by an attachment arrangement including a first portion in which part of the tether passes between two adjacent yarns of the air-bag from one side to another side of the air-bag and partly around at least two adjacent yarns on one side of the air-bag. The arrangement incorporates a second portion in which the tether is interwoven with a pre-determined number of single adjacent yarns of the air-bag. The arrangement incorporates a third portion in which the tether passes between two adjacent yarns of the air-bag from one side to another side of the air-bag and partly around at least two adjacent yarns on one side of the air-bag.

摘要: A flexible second gas barrier for a liquefied gas storage tank which includes a stiffener fabric weaved with two or more kinds of fiber yarn selected from a group consisting of a glass fiber, a carbon fiber, an aramid fiber, and a synthetic fiber. The stiffener fabric is weaved so that a hybrid fiber yarn is made by 2-ply yarning two or more kinds of a single yarn or a twisted yarn of fiber yarn selected from a group consisting of a glass fiber, a carbon fiber, an aramid fiber, or a synthetic fiber, is included in the weft and/or warf so that repeated fatigue resistance, even under cryogenic conditions, is achieved, which ultimately has the effect of solving the problems associated with repeated load increase imposed on the second gas barrier as the thickness of LNGC Foam increases.

摘要: A non-coated woven fabric for air bag according to the present invention comprises a synthetic fiber containing 90% by weight or more of Nylon 66, characterized in that crimping rate of warp of the fabric is 10.0 to 13.0% while crimping rate of woof of the fabric is 6.0% or less, relative viscosity of Nylon 66 constituting the synthetic fiber in sulfuric acid is 3.15 to 3.7, the synthetic fiber contains 40 ppm to 200 ppm of phosphorus component and, when dynamic air permeability of the fabric is measured at a maximum pressure of 80±5 kPa based on ASTM D 6476 under the environment of 20° C.×65% RH, biaxial elongation strain hysteresis of the fabric during a transition from increased pressure to reduced pressure at 50 kPa is 0.69% to 1.0%.

摘要: The present invention addresses the problem of providing a cloth which, when used as an air bag main body cloth, does not undergo the damage caused by a high-temperature gas generated from an inflater, and therefore has high heat resistance and is suitable for an air bag. The means for solving the problem is a coated cloth for an air bag, which is produced by applying an elastomer resin layer on at least one surface of a three-dimensional woven fabric in an amount of 50 to 500 g/m2 per one surface, said coated cloth being characterized by having void spaces formed therein, wherein the void content in the coated cloth is 15 to 60%. Preferably, the coated cloth is used in applications in which the coated cloth is attached onto the periphery of an inflater connection opening in an air bag.

摘要: A junction band with high tensile strength in order to suppress rupture of a ground fabric from the junction band. Provided is a hollow-weave base fabric that includes a hollow-weave section (111) with a dual layer structure containing a first fabric layer and a second fabric layer, and a junction band (112) formed continuously from threads which form the hollow-weave section. The junction band comprises a first junction structure section (121), in which a structure of two layers is formed by the alternating positional relationship of a first continuation thread that extends from the first fabric layer of the hollow-weave section to the first junction structure section and a second continuation thread that extends from the second fabric layer of the hollow-weave section to the first junction structure section. The first junction structure section comprises at least one free perpendicular thread (400, 400′) within the two-layer structure of the first junction structure section, and the free perpendicular thread extends in a direction perpendicular to the first continuation thread and the second continuation thread and does not form part of the structure of two layers of the first junction structure section.

摘要: An airbag fabric is excellent in slippage amount and strength in a sewn portion. The airbag fabric is made of a synthetic fiber, the fabric having a constant (load of 98 N/30 mm) elongation of 1 to 5% and having a residual strain rate of 0.1 to 1.5%, the residual strain rate being obtained when the fabric is allowed to stand still for 10 minutes from the removal of the 98 N/30 mm load after the retention of the fabric for 10 minutes while the 98 N/30 mm load is applied to the fabric. The strength in the sewn portion is preferably 1200 N or more in each of the warp and the weft.

摘要: Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a polyester fabric for an airbag that can not only prevent or minimize the separation of a sizing agent, which is provided to a yarn through a sizing process, during a weaving process, but can also maximize a peel strength between a textile substrate and a coating layer to be subsequently formed thereon and lower the stiffness of an airbag fabric by effectively removing the sizing agent from the textile substrate after the weaving process is completed. The method of the present invention comprises: applying a polyester-based sizing agent to a polyester yarn; manufacturing a textile substrate with the sizing agent-applied polyester yarn; removing the sizing agent from the textile substrate under an alkaline condition of pH 8 to 10; and forming a coating layer on the sizing agent-removed textile substrate in order to enhance air-tightness.
