Abstract: In an electrographic printing system, a multiple row electrode structure wherein successive rows are mutually spaced from each other, each row including mutually spaced electrodes, the electrodes of successive rows being positioned in a staggered manner with respect to each other. The system further comprises improved electrode drive circuitry, including a plurality of high-voltage drivers and a selection matrix wherein a plurality of passive elements are coupled to the drivers. A plurality of output lines couple the matrix to the electrodes so as to selectively apply a high voltage to the electrodes in order to produce a latent image on a dielectric medium. Toning means subsequently make the latent image visible.

Abstract: A self-synchronizing read apparatus receives an encoded information pulse stream consisting of data and clock pulses from a random access device and applies this train across a normally inactive resonant tank circuit. The tank circuit generates a first reference signal and a detection circuit derives a reference clock waveform from predetermined reference points of the reference signal. The read apparatus further includes a generator circuit which generates a second linear reference signal from each of the pulses of the pulse stream and derives pulses of a data output waveform by applying the linear signals to a variable threshold switching circuit. The apparatus further includes circuits for generating an error voltage whose magnitude is proportional to the discrepancy in phase between the data train and reference signal and applies a correction voltage to the tank circuit which adjusts its frequency at a critically damped rate to decrease the discrepancy in phase.

Abstract: A system for remote temperature supervision and control of a large, complex multispace air-conditioning installation with a central station connected over a transmission circuit to a plurality of groups of remote stations for controlling apparatus in multispaces. A central console at the central station has supervision and control apparatus which can be selectively connected by coded messages over the transmission circuit to any one of the remote stations. The central console has a display means for selectively displaying a schematic showing of the apparatus of any one group of remote stations so that upon sending a coded message to a particular remote group, the particular remote group sends a coded message back to the central console to select a schematic showing of the particular group, whereby further supervision and control can be accomplished from the central console upon referring to the schematic.

A SENSOR IN THE OUTLET PRODUCES A SIGNAL INDICATIVE OF THE RATIONAL VELOCITY OF FLOW ABOUT THE AXIS OF THE OUTLET, THEREBY RESULTING IN A CHARACTERIZED RESPONSE TO THE INPUT STIMULII.
