    Abstract: A conveyance mechanism is configured to sandwich a label including the adhesive side, on which an adhesive has been provided, between a drive roller and a rotatably provided assist roller and to drive the drive roller in order to unwind the label from a label roll in which the label is wound. The assist roller includes a contact portion configured to come into contact with at least a part of the print side of the label. The contact portion is provided so as to avoid coming into contact with an adhesive oozing from at least one of edges of the label along a conveyance direction of the label.

    Abstract: A film roll supporting device comprises a shaft body part, a shaft tip part, and a projection part. The shaft body part extends through a central hole of a film roll and having the film roll mounted thereon. The shaft tip part extends in an axis direction of a shaft from one end of the shaft body part on a side to be inserted into the central hole of the film roll. The projection part extends in a direction intersecting the axis direction of the shaft body part from the shaft tip part. The projection part abuts from below to a core of the film roll provisionally placed on the shaft tip part when the mounting of the film roll is performed. A cutout recessed in a direction intersecting the axis direction of the shaft body part is formed in the projection part.

    Abstract: A form-fill-seal machine is configured to adjust for changes in the thickness of bags within a short time, and is provided with seal jaws, gas removal members, an air cylinder, and a control unit. The seal jaws transverse-seal a cylindrical film in a widthwise direction forming a bag. The gas removal members come into contact against the bag prior to transverse sealing of an upper edge part, discharging a gas upward from the bag. The air cylinder moves the gas removal members, switching the position of the gas removal members between a first position and a second position with respect to the seal jaws. The control unit, in a time slot just prior to the start of a transverse sealing action performed by the seal jaws, changes the timing of switching between the first position and the second position, and adjusts the amount of gas discharged from the bag.

    Abstract: A box moving device is disclosed. The box moving device changes the position of a box having four side surfaces. The box moving device is equipped with a conveyor and a movement control unit. The movement control unit drives the conveyor to cause the box to move from a first position to a second position. The conveyor can alternately switch between a first state, in which it is contracted along a moving direction of the box, and a second state, in which it is extended along the moving direction of the box. The movement control unit causes the box to move from the first position to the second position by driving the conveyor that is in a holding mode in which it holds at least one of the side surfaces of the box and simultaneously switching the conveyor from the first state to the second state.

    Abstract: A bag making and packaging machine has pull-down belt mechanisms, a transverse sealing mechanism, a rotatable folding member, and a gas blowing mechanism. The folding member, before the transverse sealing mechanism, seals a cylindrical film, pushes against a side portion of the cylindrical film to thereby fold the cylindrical film inward and form a fold in the cylindrical film. The gas blowing mechanism blows a gas onto the fold to thereby inhibit the cylindrical film from sticking to the rotating folding member.

    Abstract: A package accumulating device is disclosed. The device conveys bag packages to a predetermined position while performing an accumulating operation that aligns the packages such that parts of each of the packages lie on top of parts of adjacent packages in a thickness direction. The device includes first and second conveyors, and a control unit. The first conveyor performs the accumulating operation. The second conveyor conveys a group of the packages aligned by the first conveyor. The control unit performs switching between a first state where a downstream end of the first conveyor and an upstream end of the second conveyor oppose each other when the second conveyor accepts the group of the packages from the first conveyor and a second state where a position of the upstream end of the second conveyor is lower than in the first state with respect to the downstream end of the first conveyor.

    Abstract: An inspection and sorting system sorts conveyed articles. The system is provided with a conveyance device, an X-ray inspection device, and a sorting device.     Abstract: An article rejecting system includes: a conveyance unit that conveys an article along a conveying direction; a detection unit that detects the article which is conveyed by the conveyance unit; a rejecting unit that is provided on a downstream side of the detection unit in the conveying direction and performs a rejecting motion for rejecting the article which is conveyed by the conveyance unit; a control unit that controls the rejecting unit such that the rejecting motion is performed at a predetermined automatic timing when the detection unit detects the article; and an input unit that accepts input of a manual operation for causing the rejecting unit to perform the rejecting motion at a manual timing. The control unit sets the automatic timing based on the manual timing, if the input unit accepts the input of the manual operation when the detection unit detects the article.

    Abstract: A box-opening device is disclosed. The box-opening device includes a first holding part that holds a first surface and a second holding part that holds a second surface. The first surface is one of two adjacent surfaces of a folded corrugated cardboard sheet, and the second surface is the other of the two adjacent surfaces of the corrugated cardboard sheet. The box-opening device also includes a first holding part movement mechanism which changes a position of the first holding part with respect to the second holding part and thereby transforms the corrugated cardboard sheet into an opened state. The first holding part movement mechanism has a support member that supports the first holding part so that the part rotates on an arc track about a central axis of rotation that overlaps an imaginary line extending along a boundary line between the first surface and the second surface.
