Abstract:
A method of determining characteristics of a signal and an apparatus using the method. The apparatus for determining characteristics of a signal includes: a level detector receiving sample values of a radio frequency (RF) signal and binary data obtained by binarizing the RF signal, generating selection signals based on the binary data, classifying each of the sample values of the RF signal into one of a plurality of levels using the selection signals, and outputting average values of sample values of each level; and a signal characteristics determiner determining a characteristics value that indicates the characteristics of the RF signal using the average values of the sample values belonging to each level.
Abstract:
A method of processing a signal at a network node of a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method comprises detecting a problem of a first interface; and transmitting a first message to the user equipment via a second interface for suspending data transmission through the second interface. Also, the method further comprises transmitting a second message to the user equipment via the second interface for resuming data transmission through the second interface, if a recovery of the problem of the first interface is completed. Preferably, the method further comprises transmitting a third message to the user equipment via the second interface for releasing connection between the network node and the user equipment, if a recovery of the problem of the first interface is failed.

Disclosed is a method for receiving, by a terminal, a paging message in a wireless communication system. A paging message reception method according to the present invention comprises receiving a paging message which includes task information from a base station, and performing at least one task among the initiation of a machine type communication (MTC) function, interruption of a machine type communication (MTC) function and a measurement report according to the task information included in the received paging message.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a preamble transmission method performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system. The preamble transmission method performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system includes detecting the occurrence of an event, and transmitting a preamble corresponding to the detected event to a network through a random access channel (RACH). Congestion in a wireless network can be reduced, and a procedure for notifying of the occurrence of an event can be simplified.
Abstract:
The present invention provides method and apparatus for preparing and processing information on a stored content source. The present method includes: creating a plurality of first structure elements allocating mutually different identifiers to a primary component pertaining to a content source, and incorporating protocol information and access location information on the primary component into each of the plurality of first structure elements; and creating second structure elements as many as number of the plurality of first structure elements, and incorporating into each of the second structure elements protocol information and access location information on a resource that can be played along with the primary component wherein the second structure elements are respectively associated with the mutually different identifiers.
Abstract:
Example embodiments are directed to a receiver for reducing ISI of at least one data transmission channel and compensating for signal gain loss, and method thereof. A receiver may include a high pass filter and a Schmitt trigger controlled by a plurality of first control signals and a plurality of second control signals. The plurality of first control signals and the plurality of second control signals may be used to shift a first trigger voltage and a second trigger voltage of the Schmitt trigger. A method of reducing intersymbol interference and compensating for signal gain loss of a receiver connected to at least one data transmission channel is also provided.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods and pharmaceutical compositions for treating obesity or obesity-related disorders in a subject suffering from or predisposed to developing obesity or an obesity-related disorder, or for inhibiting the infectivity of HIV, by administering oleuropein, an analogue or derivative thereof, or the major metabolites of oleuropein including oleuropein aglycone, hydroxytyrosol, and elenolic acid or their analogues, or derivatives thereof, an iridoid glycoside, or a secoiridoid glycoside or analogues or derivatives thereof, or any combination of the foregoing including olive leave extract. The invention also relates to methods for screening/diagnosing a subject having, or predisposed to having obesity or a related disorder by measuring the expression profiles of an adipogenic gene selected from PPARγ2, LPL and αP2 gene and gene product, or other adipogenic, lipogenic, or lipolytic genes and gene products in an individual. The invention further provides for screening for novel oleuropein analogues.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a window for a display unit configured to input information in a touch manner, and a mobile terminal having the same. The window comprises a protective layer having an anti-fingerprint pattern so as to minimize fingerprints remaining thereon. The anti-fingerprint pattern minimizes fingerprints remaining on the window on which a user's finger contacts, and prevents lowering of visibility of the display unit.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for managing multi-streaming contents and for controlling of changing media players (media renderers) during playback of the multi-streaming contents are disclosed. An exemplary of the method of controlling for changing a media player from a first player to a second player, in a control device is disclosed. The method can include receiving multi-streaming capability from the second player, the multi-streaming capability including information about at least one of multi-streaming contents performable in the second player. The method can also include receiving streaming content information and playing status information from the first player, wherein the playing status information includes playing time information of streaming content being performed at the first player. The method can also include determining streaming content desired to be performed at the second player by comparing the multi-streaming capability of the second player with streaming content information of the first player. The method can also include generating current playing information of the streaming content that is determined to be performed at the second player, based on the playing time information. The method can also include transmitting the current playing information of the streaming content to a media server which is able to communicate with the second player.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a glass substrate composition comprising SiO2 55˜70 wt %, Al2O3 0˜1 wt %, ZrO2 0.1˜5 wt %, Na2O 0.1˜5 wt %, K2O 7˜13 wt %, MgO 7˜14 wt %, CaO 0˜4 wt %, SrO 7˜12 wt % and SO3 0.01˜0.5 wt %. The glass substrate prepared by using the above composition shows less thermal deformation at a baking process under a high temperature since the strain point of the glass is at least 570° C., does not have such disadvantages as increase of fuel cost and short life cycle of refractories resulted from less than 1460° C. of melting point, and has 80˜95×10−7/° C. of thermal expansion coefficient in the temperature range of 50˜350° C. Therefore, the glass according to the present invention is suitable as a substrate.
