Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and methods of removing material from the bed of a truck, for example, the bed of a pick-up track, The apparatus is an unloader apparatus the has both a bed part and an external part, the bed part designed to be used in the bed of the pick-up truck and the external part designed to be used to move the bed part. The bed part is substantially flat and the external part usually consists of lines that can be moved by means of a force provided by a winch, a moving truck or by some other means.
Abstract:
A wearable, shoulder-mounted microphone array apparatus and system used as a bi-directional audio and assisted listening device system. The present invention advances hearing aids and assisted listening devices to allow construction of a highly directional audio array that is wearable, natural sounding, and convenient to direct, as well as to provide directional cues to users who have partial or total loss of hearing in one or both ears. The advantages of the invention include simultaneously providing high gain, high directivity, high side lobe attenuation, and consistent beam width; providing significant beam forming at lower frequencies where substantial noises are present, particularly in noisy, reverberant environments; and allowing construction of a cost effective body-worn or body-carried directional audio device.

Abstract:
A directional transducer array system comprising a plurality of transducers with mathematical sequence spacing mounted on an array tile or host device. In an embodiment, the invention allows the construction of a receiving or transmitting, tiled (modular) directional audio array while simultaneously retaining desirable directional characteristics, improving gain, and limiting negative impacts on side lobe attenuation as the array is scaled (i.e. identical or similar tiles are added to or subtracted from the array); and allows the construction of a receiving or transmitting directional audio array that is light weight and robust enough to be used in body-worn, body-carried, vehicular, and fixed installations.
Abstract:
A system and method for providing content to a user based on at least one prior user experience are provided. First content is transmitted to a user, wherein at least some of the first content is transmitted in response to one or more user content selections. Frequency information based on the inputs and/or the first content is stored. A request for content is received from the user. Second content is selected based on the frequency information.

Abstract:
A coating containing pigment particles and a polymer matrix is provided. The coating contains pigment particles that have a scattering coefficient with a linear or quasi-linear relationship to the pigment volume concentration of those pigment particles. The coating has improved hiding and is useful as a protective coating or an aesthetic coating on an underlying substrate. Also provided are compositions useful for preparing the coating, including covalently bonded composite particles and aqueous dispersions containing composite particles. The composite particles each contain a pigment particle with a plurality of polymer particles attached by adsorption on the outer surface of the pigment particle or by covalent bonding to the pigment particle through a coupling agent. Methods to prepare the composite particles and coating compositions containing the composite particles are also provided.
Abstract:
An aqueous dispersion of polymeric particles and process for forming thereof is provided. The particles comprise a first polymer comprising, when dry, at least one void; and, substantially encapsulating the first polymer, at least one second polymer comprising, as polymerized units, at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer.
