    Abstract: Diesel fuel composition suitable for use in an internal combustion engine comprising: (a) 2 mass % to 30 mass % of kerosene having a kinematic viscosity at 40° C. of 1.5 mm2/s or less and a density of 810 kg/m3 or less; (b) 2 mass % to 20 mass % of Fischer-Tropsch derived base oil having a kinematic viscosity at 40° C. of 7.5 mm2/s or greater and a density of 790 kg/m3 or greater; and (c) diesel base fuel. The diesel fuel composition of the present invention provides improved cold flow properties while simultaneously maintaining other properties such as viscosity and density within diesel fuel specification requirements.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for cooling down a liquefaction system for liquefying a hydrocarbon-containing gas stream. The method for cooling down the liquefaction system comprises: a) performing a pre-cool-down procedure to cool down the pre-cooling stage, b) performing a cryogenic cool-down procedure to cool down the main cooling stage. B) comprises forming a main cool-down stream (201) that meets a predetermined Cn+specification. The main cool-down stream (201) is formed out of at least one auxiliary stream not being the pre-cooled hydrocarbon containing gas stream, and the cryogenic cool down procedure and the pre-cool down procedure are at least partially performed simultaneously.

    Abstract: The present application relates to a process for producing normally gaseous, normally liquid, and optionally normally solid hydrocarbons from synthesis gas in a three-phase reactor, said reactor comprising a top middle and bottom part wherein the bottom and top part are fluidly connected via one or more reactor tubes, wherein one or more reactor tubes comprise randomly stacked catalyst bodies held stationary in the reactor tube and the reactor is at least partially filled with a liquid medium, said process comprising the steps of: (i) introducing the synthesis gas into the reactor via the bottom part; and (ii) contacting the synthesis gas with a stationary catalyst to catalytically convert the synthesis gas at an elevated temperature to obtain the normally gaseous, normally liquid, and optionally normally solid hydrocarbons from synthesis gas; (iii) withdrawing the normally gaseous, normally liquid, and optionally normally solid hydrocarbons; wherein the catalyst bodies have an open celled foam structure.

    Abstract: A method may include providing a sensor in a first wellbore segment, providing a sensor in a second wellbore segment, observing upgoing acoustic waves or downgoing acoustic waves with the sensors, and separating the upgoing acoustic waves and/or the downgoing acoustic waves from a total wavefield. The first wellbore segment and the second wellbore segment may be separated by a distance. At least one of the wellbore segments may be non-vertical and/or the first wellbore segment may not be parallel to the second wellbore segment. The first wellbore segment may be part of a first set of wellbores and the second wellbore segment may be part of a second set of wellbores. The separated upgoing and downgoing acoustic waves may be used to generate deghosted data.

    Abstract: A tubular pull string assembly (5, 5A) may be used to pull up an expansion mandrel (1) through an area of overlap (2) between an upper section of a well liner (3) expanded by the expansion mandrel and a lower section of a previously installed liner (4). The tubular pull string assembly may be provided with at least one flow port (6), through which fluid is permitted to flow from the exterior (7) to the interior (8) of the tubular pull string assembly during pop out of the expansion mandrel from the area of overlap. In addition thereto, or instead thereof, the expansion mandrel may be provided with a streamlined tail (1A) section having an inwardly tapered outer surface (11) that intersects a longitudinal axis of the expansion mandrel at a sharp angle. The sharp angle can be less than 20 degrees. The tail section can have a length of at least several centimeters.

    Abstract: Implementations of the disclosed subject matter provide methods for producing ethylene glycol from a carbohydrate feed which may include conditioning a heterogeneous hydrogenation catalyst by treatment with a protic acid resulting in an acid-conditioned heterogeneous hydrogenation catalyst. Next, in a reactor under hydrogenation conditions, the carbohydrate feed may be contacted with a bi-functional catalyst system comprising the acid-conditioned heterogeneous hydrogenation catalyst, and a soluble retro-Aldol catalyst. An intermediate product stream may be obtained from the reactor including ethylene glycol.
