    Abstract: Described is an apparatus of a User Equipment (UE) operable to communicate with a fifth-generation Evolved Node-B (gNB) on a wireless network. The apparatus may comprise a first circuitry, a second circuitry, and a third circuitry. The first circuitry may be operable to detect a beam failure event. The second circuitry may be operable to generate a beam failure recovery request for transmission to the gNB, in response to the beam failure event. The third circuitry may be operable to monitor for Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) in a search space configured by the gNB, subsequent to a transmission of the beam failure recovery request.

    Abstract: Herein described are apparatuses, systems, and methods for measurement and reporting of channel state information within wireless network systems. In embodiments, an apparatus for a user equipment (UE) may include memory to store a rank indicator (RI), a precoding matrix index (PMI), and a channel quality indicator (CQI) of channel state information (CSI) for the UE. The apparatus may further include circuitry to concatenate the RI, the PMI, and the CQI to produce a concatenated CSI element, generate a CSI report that includes the concatenated CSI element, and cause the CSI report to be transmitted to a base station within a single slot. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for mapping transmission configuration indication (TCI) states to demodulation reference signal (DMRS) ports groups in a wireless network. For instance, a TCI state to DMRS ports group mapping of a user equipment (UE) can be determined. Each DMRS port in a DMRS ports group shares a quasi-co-location (QCL) assumption. The TCI state to DMRS ports group mapping comprises multiple TCI state groups. The TCI state to DMRS ports group mapping corresponds each TCI state group to one or more DMRS ports groups. A TCI state group from the DMRS ports group mapping can be selected for the UE. Data indicative of the selected TCI state group and the corresponding one or more DMRS ports groups can be provided to the UE based at least in part on the TCI state group from the DMRS ports group mapping.

    Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for framework of layer 1 signal-to-interference plus noise ratio (L1-SINR) measurement and reporting based on channel measurement and interference measurement. The channel measurement is performed on a first set of reference signal (RS) resources, and the interference measurement is performed on a second set of RS resources. Each of the second set of RS resources is mapped to each of the first set of RS resources. The L1-SINR is determined from a first RS resource of the first set of RS resources and a second RS resource of the send set of RS resources, where the first RS resource is mapped to the second RS resource. A message including the L1-SINR is generated and transmitted to the access node.
