Disclosed are methods, apparatus, and systems, including computer program products, implementing techniques for securing a gaming machine for a player of the gaming machine using a mobile device such as a cell phone associated with the player. A player input requests securing of the gaming machine. Responsive to the player input, an access code and a security code are retrieved. The access code defines an access point of a communication system. The security code is specific to a game play session for the player at the gaming machine. The retrieved access code and security code are provided for the player. When the mobile device accesses the communications system and submits the security code, a secure signal is sent to the gaming machine, instructing the gaming machine to enter a remote game play state. The gaming machine can be released from the remote game play state responsive to a releasing event. In one implementation, a wireless interface enables communication between the mobile device and gaming machine according to a wireless protocol such as Bluetooth.

One aspect is directed to a system whereby a live gaming table system is provided with one or more handheld user input devices which, for example, may allow multiple different players to simultaneously or concurrently provide wager input data and/or other data to the gaming table system. In at least one embodiment, the handheld user input devices may form part of a multi-player touch input interface system which is operable to identify or determine where, who, and what transactions are taking place at a multi-player gaming table and/or multi-player gaming system.

In various embodiments, the value of the award associated with such selectable position has a relationship to one or more of the values of the awards associated with the selectable positions bordering such position. Based on these interdependencies, when each of the selectable positions is selected, the award, or value of the award, associated with the position provides certain information which can be subsequently used to make better informed position selections.

It also includes a delivery system, for delivering the enlarging agent to the treatment site, so that the enlarging agent will be delivered thereby to enlarge the endothelium migration channels at the treatment site, and for delivering the therapeutic agent to the delivery site. The therapeutic agent will thereby be delivered into the enlarged migration channels at the treatment site, to treat the treatment site with the therapeutic agent.

Novel wager gaming machines, gaming servers, and power consumption control methods for intelligently controlling power consumed by a wager gaming machine in a manner that does not discourage or prevent use of the gaming machine are described. A component of a gaming machine, for example, a ticket printer, is powered down when it has been determined that, based on usage pattern data, the component is not likely to be used. Usage pattern data are derived from raw activity usage data for a machine and its components. Components that are not powered based on the usage pattern data can be powered upon detecting an action implying that a user will be using the machine, for example, a card read or bill insert. A power controller processes signals conveying rules based on the usage pattern data and may also process a signal conveying a user-initiated action if there is one, to form a command to power up or turn off one or more gaming machine components.

A one-step process for the preparation of organosilicon intermediates. The organosilicon intermediates comprise a group which includes such intermediates as 1,4-bis(dimethylsilyl)benzene, 1,4-bis(dimethylchlorosilyl)benzene, and their derivatives. The process comprises: combining a dihalobenzene with magnesium metal in a co-solvent mixture of an ether and an organic solvent and reacting them with an organosilicon compound of the general formula, R2bHcSiXd. The resulting mixture is allowed to react to completion. The resulting mixture is passed through a filtration device. The liquid, now free of solid magnesium halide, is subjected to a separation technique to recover the subject organosilicon intermediates and their derivatives.

A process for reacting organic halides with disilanes to form monosilanes. The process uses disubstituted palladium compounds as catalysts. The process is especially useful for reacting alkenyl chlorides, such as allyl chloride, with disilanes to form monosilanes having alkenyl substitution. The process is also useful for converting the high-boiling disilane containing fraction resulting from the direct process for forming organosilanes into more useful monosilanes.
