    Abstract: A timer processing method includes: receiving, by a terminal device, a first message sent by a network device, and starting or restarting a timer based on a scrambling identifier of the first message, wherein the timer is a timer used by the terminal device to switch from an active downlink BWP to a default downlink BWP, or is a timer used by the terminal device to activate a default downlink BWP and deactivate an active downlink BWP; or if an active BWP pair of the terminal device is not a default BWP pair, starting or restarting, by the terminal device, a timer based on a scrambling identifier of the first message, wherein the timer is a timer used by the terminal device to switch from the active BWP pair to the default BWP pair, or is a timer used by the terminal device to activate the default BWP pair.

    Abstract: This application provides a communication method and apparatus, and relates to the communication field, and in particular, to the multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) field. The communication method includes: A main control unit receives a first data packet sent by a core network device. The main control unit sends first data included in the first data packet and first time information of the first data to a secondary unit. The secondary unit sends the first data to a terminal based on sending time indicated by the first time information. In embodiments of this application, the main control unit determines the sending time for sending the first data by the secondary unit to the terminal.

    Abstract: A communication device receives a parallel hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) communication instruction, where the parallel HARQ communication instruction is used to instruct the communication device to send or receive data in a parallel HARQ manner, where the sending data in a parallel HARQ manner by the communication device is sending, by the communication device, at least one data packet with same content within a transmission time interval; and the receiving data in a parallel HARQ manner by the communication device is receiving at least one data packet with same content within a transmission time interval, and performing combined decoding on the received at least one data packet with same content; and the communication device sends or receives the data in the parallel HARQ manner according to the parallel HARQ communication instruction. According to the present invention, a delay of data transmission can be reduced.

    Abstract: The present invention provides an uplink reference signal sending method, and the method includes: sending, by a terminal device, an uplink reference signal on N1 second component carriers within a determined uplink reference signal sending time, and prohibiting, on M1 first component carriers in M first component carriers within the sending time, the terminal device from sending an uplink signal, where the first component carriers are carriers on which scheduling of uplink data transmission is allowed, and the second component carriers are carriers on which scheduling of uplink data transmission is prohibited. N1≤M1, in other words, within the sending time, a quantity N1 of second component carriers on which the uplink reference signal is sent is less than or equal to a quantity M1 of first component carriers on which sending of the uplink signal is prohibited.
